Dead Space 2 Severed: The Intervention

Gabe opened the hatch doors and revealed a horrid sight. Ahead of him was two men getting eaten alive by the necromorph while a horrifed Lexine bolted into the ship.

"Gabe!" Lexine screamed. "Gabe!"

The ship doors closed and the necromorph finally noticed Gabe and roared. Gabe immediately took action, aiming his pulse rifle and blasting them to bits, body parts splattering everywhere. Once the problem was dealed with, he immediately dashed towards a panel.

"Gabe," Lexaine said sobbingly and happily. "You're still alive. I can't believe you're here. I thought you were dead."

"Lexine," Gabe ordered. "Get that ship ready for take off."

"I'll try," Lexine said, still sobbing slightly. Unknown to them, Issac Clarke was just at the entrance Gabe entered. He took a peek and was rather surprised there was another person donning a RIG suit that was still alive.

Gabe focused his attention on the panel that could open the blast doors, ripping off the front layer. The metal sheet clashed into the ground and he begun his work. He ignored several computer warnings and began hacking the doors open. Electricity shot out from the panel, but he ignored it.

Suddenly Victor appeared seemingly out of nowhere with a grenade. He took hold of Gabe and unpinned the explosive.

"Just...following orders," Victor admitted. Both wrestled for control over the grenade. Gabe managed to get the upper hand and punch Victor to the ground, but wasn't going to have enough time to throw away the grenade and Victor held the grenade near his chest. But his fate would be avoided...as soon as Victor lifted his arm up, Issac quickly saw the commotion and took action by running to them. With precise aiming, he fired his plasma cutter and severed off Victor's arm. With one final grunt, he grabbed the grenade and flung it out of range, before taking him and Gabe to the ground. The explosion went off and the two looked up to see but the shrapnel punctured a hole into Gabe's helmet.

"Thanks pal, I could've died or lost a leg," Gabe complimented. "Can't believe that son of a bitch. Waht's your name?"

"Issac Clarke. Now get in the ship," Issac insisted. Lexine quickly opened the hatch doors and Gabe and Issac walked towards it. Gabe entered and Issac just stood there, watching.

"Pal, what are you waiting for?" Gabe asked. "Those creatures are all around this place. C'mon!"

"Sorry, I can no longer run," Issac said and he turned to the opposite direction. "I have a mission to do."

"What mission?" Gabe asked. "No time for bullshit, c'mon!"

"I still have to destroy the marker," Issac replied. "It's nice knowing you."

Before Gabe could argue anymore, the necromorph breached their location and made a suicide dash towards them. Issac took aim and took one down.

"Idiot!" Gabe yelled. "Get in, now!"

"Try and stop me with that broken helmet," Issac replied. "Is it a comrade that's important or that female companion and your life? I've been through this bullshit!"

He blasted several other creatures down before manually destroying the blast doors panels, opening the exit itself. Everything was getting sucked out including the ship. Issac managed to grab hold of something and watched as the ship flew out.

"Good luck to you two," Issac said. A hologram appeared displaying Gabe and Lexine.

"Issac! Issac! You bastard! you're gonna die!"

He ignored their words and looked as an overwhelming amount of necromorph closed in on him.

"Fuck. You."
