Brief Notes: Brief story.
Summary: It's like writing lines again...there's no excuse for what I, Peter Pettigrew, did. (Peter's POV)
There's no excuse for what I did.
There's no excuse for what I did.
There's no excuse for what I did.
It feels like I'm back in detention with Prongs, Padfoot, and Moony. We'll all be writing lines. Well, I'll be writing lines. Prongs and Padfoot always got the worst degree of detention. It seemed that my trouble could never compare to theres. No matter what happened, I was just second best.

It wasn't all fear. I wasn't always afraid of what might happen if I didn't side with Voldemort. I wasn't always afraid of what lie beyond. Now I am...

I could've died a hero like Prongs or Padfoot. It's much too late for that now. I will die the coward and traitor that I've always been destined to play.
There's no excuse for what I did.

Some stars just don't shine as brightly. Funny, Padfoot's name is Sirius. Do I even have the right to call him by either of those?
There's no excuse for what I did.

But, tomorrow morning when I wake, I'll have forgotten it all. Or tried to. I'll be Voldemort's servant again. Safe...but for how long?
They'll all seek vengance eventually. And then what? Will the Dark Lord protect me? Will I perish? Does he care?
There will be no one to hide behind and no one to face but myself...and lit wand tips. All of which would be happy to steal my soul or watch as I die a tormented death.
Can I blame them? Can I blame myself?
There's no excuse for what I did.
I, Peter Pettigrew, the coward and traitor. Ha. But that's the truth indeed.
