Silent Hug

Why today? He questioned himself as he walked down the path. He was young, yet mature. And right now, his face showed signs of worry. Why does she have to leave today? He questioned himself again, feeling on the verge of tears. The one he called 'his number one' was leaving today, to the hospital. "It's just an operation, Syaoran. I'll be fine." Sakura had said quietly on that fateful day. Her best friend, Tomoyo, was crying silently beside her, her face hidden under her hands. Sakura looked down at the ground. "Will you.be back?" He asked almost fearfully. There was a small sniffle from Tomoyo. Sakura looked away from him. After a long pause and sniffles from Tomoyo, Sakura answered. "I might not come back." The words echoed in his mind. I might not come back.not come back.come back. Syaoran did the only thing that his mind told him to, run away from the fear. Sakura turned around; noticing Sayoran was gone as Tomoyo broke into sobs. "Syaoran." Sakura whispered sadly.

Sayoran punched the ground hard, another tear rolling down his cheek. "Why?!" He asked himself; not noticing that he said it loudly. "Sayoran.?" A familiar voice asked. He looked up seeing her bright green eyes peering down at him. "Me and Tomoyo were wondering where you-" He cut her words off by getting up and embracing her. Sakura let out a sharp gasp. "Promise me you'll come back." He said quietly, hugging her tighter. "What." Sakura questioned under her breath. "I don't want to lose you." He said clearly, closing his eyes tight. Understanding, Sakura gave a peaceful smile and rested her chin on his shoulder. "I will. I promise." She answered, hugging him back.

Syaoran met Sakura the next day at the hospital. She had come out looking a little tired, but relaxed. There were no shown wounds, and the operation had gone okay. Tomoyo ran over to her friend and hugged her. Tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks. Syaoran walked up to her and held Sakura in another silent hug. "You made it." He whispered happily to her. She smiled. "I couldn't have made it with out your love, Syaoran." Sakura said. That day, the two of them had fully understood how much they loved each other
