Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Power Rangers, please don't sue but you know feel free to make fun of me.

A/N: Somewhat AU i guess... Complete divergence with canon from after in space so Karone was never a pink ranger in this universe. Oh yeah... TOTAL CRACK FIC. Reviews?

Glomp the male Rangers

He didn't really know how it had started, he supposed it was just what happened when you gathered too many female rangers together and gave them wine. It might have developed from a passing comment someone might have made about the energetic way Rocky's sisters greeted him, something Aisha found very amusing, but he wasn't sure. It could just have easily come from a comment Trini might have made about the computer 'emote', and he presumed that that had been brought up at some point considering the fact that the term 'glomp' was almost as much a part of it as the flying hugs themselves. However it had started, it was now way out of control: it had now developed from a slightly worrying 'game', which seemed to involve occasionally violently hugging a male power ranger, to an all out one day war between yellow rangers and pink rangers in which they had to be the first to 'glomp' the most male power rangers. The 'game' seemed to be more complex than he could comprehend with a scoring system based primarily on the number of colours of the male ranger had sported and the reactions of those surrounding him. There also seemed to be some kind of official rule book, which he was pretty sure Trini had played the most major role in designing and specific codes for how to react to opponents and 'targets,' as well as rules on conduct relating to preventing the revelation of the identities of ex rangers. The latest versions seemed to have some kind of involvement of cameras.

What he did know was that the first Sunday after the 12th of June was a day that all male Rangers had come to fear, a day on which they were likely to be 'glomped' anything from once to 8 times, no matter what they were doing. Hell, Rocky had even been glomped whilst at church. He also knew that out of the 5 years it had been running the yellow rangers had won 4: he'd got $100 riding on them making it 5 out of 6. Seriously, the pink Rangers had only won that one year because of a series of unfortunate accidents: Ashley's car breaking down, Trini running into an old friend from the volleyball team, Tanya having to try to explain to a police officer why she'd just 'accosted' the blue power ranger, Aisha falling down that open manhole cover… man that was weird. He almost felt sorry for the pinks, and Karone who offered to play in their behalf to make the teams equal, they were all such wonderful people and great sportswomen but they were just too… sweet. They didn't have the cunning to tackle the game with the amount of tactical planning that they yellow's did, it was just a characteristic of their colour.

Still this year was going to be interesting to say the least: he knew Kat had been beaming about a secret plan she'd developed and Kim had told him confidently that this year was going to be their year. He wondered how soon it'd be that they decided to make a trophy and engrave the winners names on it. Furthermore this year his usually tactic of sitting in his front lawn listening to music and brushing up on his dancing while he waited for the first ranger, usually yellow, to arrive was not a viable option. He had to go a wedding: Angela's cousin's. Fortunately the wedding was on the Saturday, meaning it wouldn't get interrupted by a crazed power ranger hugging a guest; he didn't think that'd go down to well. Unfortunately it was out of town and they were going to be staying with Angela's parents. It was definitely going to be interesting.
