Spring
Spring
AN: I own nothing in this story. Please R it was a scary thing to the Turk who was so used to the noise of Edge. The woman beside him hadn't said a word for some time now. Her hand was clasped firmly in his as they walked beside one another. Sable hair flowed down her back like a curtain of midnight and she closed her eyes, hand leaving his as she twirled around, bringing to mind a painting of a nymph Reno had seen once in a book.
The painting was then broken into tiny fragments as the woman's foot caught on an unseen root and she fell. Before her body could crash against the earth, he caught her. Tifa looked up at her lover with a flushed face. He gave her his usual cocky grin and set her on her feet.
"Man Teef, had a little too much to drink?"
"That's not funny Reno." Continuing there walk, the bartender spied a tiny hill off in the distance. Turning around to her boyfriend, she smiled at him. "Catch me if you can." And with that she took off, hair streaming behind her. Reno followed after and managed to catch up with her near the hilltop. He tackled her to the ground then, hands supporting her back as she fell on the soft grass.
"I've caught you so what do I win?" Reno asked, breathing heavily. Tifa smirked up at him and she raised her right hand to his cheek. Her callused fingers tracked over the red scar below his eye.
"Who said you got something?" Tifa replied, her voice soft. Before Reno could reply her lips found his and her right hand moved from his face to his back, wrapping around him in a close embrace. Once they broke apart, Reno was smiling.
"What do you want?" Reno asked. Tifa looked pensive for a moment before her hand moved to his hair and found the tie in his ponytail. She removed it quickly and Reno's single ponytail became a shoulder length mane.
"You look very sexy with your hair down Re…" Tifa said, smirking once more.
"I look like a woman with it down," he replied.
"Okay then you're a very sexy woman." Tifa said, giggling. "I think I'll call you Rena."
"You'll pay for that, yo." Reno said, hands tickling her sides. He continued tickling her for several moments before he stopped. Lying down beside her, he sifted his fingers through her hair. "You're so beautiful…" Tifa blushed at his comment.
"You're not so bad yourself, yo." Tifa said, using her lover's catchphrase. Tifa then hugged onto him gently and buried her face in the crook of his neck. Her lips tickled his skin as she hummed a song he had never heard before and he was content, here in the spring with her.
