The Coin Story

Author's Note: Based on Misha and Jared's Coin Story. Established relationship. Pre-season 8.
"Dean, you need to face it. We are running out of money." Sam told Dean.
"Well maybe you shouldn't have bought Cas a new trench coat." Dean retorted.
"His was getting ratty!" Sam replied defensively.
Cas was standing in the shadows listening in. His face lit up when he thought of an idea.
"And you need all of this change why?" Asked the teller, somewhat disinterested.
"I have my reasons." Castiel replied evasively.
"Okay…?" She replied, handing over a sack of coins. Cas repeated this at three other banks.
"Dean, I found ten dollars under the bed. I'm going to go and get some milk and cereal." Sam said.
"Don't hurt Baby!"A few moments later Dean heard his name being called. "Dammit Sam, Dr Sexy is on!" He muttered under his breath. When he got into the parking lot, he saw Sam talking to Cas. As he got closer he heard snippets of their conversation.
"I overheard what you told Dean so I went out to the banks to get you money. However, they wouldn't give me the green paper and cotton rectangles you and Dean like."
"Sam, what's going on?" Dean asked tiredly.
Sam opened the door and a few coins tinkled out onto the asphalt. Dean looked in the Impala to see the coins shining in the late afternoon light...on every surface.
"What…? What did you do to her?" He asked in a strangled voice.
"It is not of import." Cas replied offhandedly.
"Damn right it's of import." Dean replied angrily.
"Dean, calm down. Cas was trying to help. We now have money to go to the next town. And we have enough for food." Sam said, trying to calm the situation.
Dean took a few deep breaths in and out before saying, "Cas, I swear to whatever god is listening, if you ever do this again, I will personally rip the wings from your back feather by feather. Do you understand?"
"Yes Dean." Cas replied, the fear plain in his eyes.
"Hey Cas. Thanks for the money." Sam kissed him before turning to Dean and saying, "We're going to need more bags."
