"Ne, Cloud?" Leon whispered. He was curled up alongside the blonde's warm body.
"Hm?" Even though the brunette couldn't see, Cloud smiled down at him. His hand ran through the silky strands of brown hair that lay scattered across his chest.
"I-…" He couldn't say it. He couldn't bring himself to say those three simple words, no matter how freaking true they were.
Leon sighed softly. It's Cloud, he told himself; Cloud wouldn't leave him alone. Cloud wouldn't hurt him.
He felt his chin being tilted up, and then warm lips upon his own. His eyes fluttered shut and he returned the gentle kiss.
"I love you, too." Cloud whispered once they had parted.
Leon smiled lightly at the blonde and kissed him once more. He was glad he didn't have to voice it for Cloud to know that he meant it.
