I was reading One Sentence and this idea came to me. The prompt is at the end of the story, hopefully you guys like it.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything, I only wish I did.
Rachel squeezed her eyes shut, took a deep breath, and wished that when she opened her eyes she would wake up from this nightmare. Slowly opening her eyes she looked down at the pregnancy test in her hands and saw two bright pink lines staring back at her. Tears filled her eyes and the two lines blurred into one as she slid down her bathroom wall hugging her knees to her chest. She was another statistic, she was supposed to get out of this town, she was supposed to make her dreams come true. The knock on her bathroom door scared her.
"Rachel? Are you okay?" Her daddy asked.
"Yes."
"Are you sure? You sound upset."
"I'm fine, promise."
"Okay, well Noah is here to see you. I will send him up."
"Okay, thanks."
"Your welcome, and sweetheart if you need to talk your dad and I are always here for you."
"I know." Rachel said and the tears that were threatening to fall began to trickle down her face as she realized how much this was going to break their hearts, they had raised her to know better. Rachel heard her dads footsteps leave the room. Eventually she opened the bathroom to door to see Noah laying on his back in the middle of her bed talking on the phone.
"Dude, give me 20 minutes I just got to Rachel's and she is going to be pissed if I leave right now." There was a pause, "Fuck you!"
"Noah." Rachel said trying to sound strong, but her voice broke in the middle.
"Dude, I got to go." Puck said hanging up on Finn's protest, "What's wrong?"
Rachel tried to tell him but ended up crying even harder, and when he got up and put his arms around her she started sobbing.
"Shhh, it's okay." Puck said rubbing his hand up and down her back trying to calm her down.
"It's not."
"Whatever it is, I will take care of. Did you get slushied?" Rachel shook her head no and wrapped her arms tighter around him, "Did someone say something to you?"
"No one did anything."
"Okay, so why are you crying." Rachel continued to sob into his chest, "If you don't tell me whats wrong I can't fix it." Puck whispered into her hair before placing a kiss on the top of her head.
"You can't fix it anyways." Rachel said releasing him and walking back to the bathroom.
"What's that supposed to mean and why are you walking away?" Puck asked getting a little angry.
"You can't fix this." Rachel said placing the pregnancy test into his hand.
"Fuck." Puck said looking down at the positive test in his hand, how had this happened again? Rachel stood in front of him bawling and he reached out and pulled her to him, "Shh, everything will be okay."
"How? We are in high school and I am pregnant. Pregnant, you can't just pretend nothing is wrong. You can't just beat someone up and have all of our problems go away, this is real. I was supposed to be on Broadway." Rachel managed to choke out between her tears.
"We will figure something out, I promise." Puck said walking her to the bed and laying down next to her rubbing her back until she eventually fell asleep.
Prompt: No matter how many times I closed my eyes and wished, the two bright pink lines refused to merge into one.
