Dear Whoever Cares Enough to Read,
I've tried my hardest to give you everything. I've sung my highest, cared the most, and loved as much as humanly possible, but that clearly wasn't good enough. Apparently, I need to be a picture perfect Idol to mean anything in the eyes of God. And I've tried! I held it in whenever I was insulted, kept up the image that everyone wants me to be. I even held back my tears whenever I saw the one I loved with his wife! All so I could make my "fans" content. But, no one ever is. So, this is my goodbye. Do not feel sorry for me, death will be a release. My last wish is that the man I love knows how I felt about him. Tell Kris Allen for me, whoever picks this up. Thank you so very much.
The Once-Proud Homosexual,
Adam Lambert
His hand shook as he signed his name with a flourish. The last he would ever do it. He sighed, breath coming in shakily. He opened up a small bottle, and swallowed the clear liquid whole. He fell back onto the bed, blue eyes closing, as Adam Lambert went to sleep forever.
Kris Allen stretched and yawned. Walking into the room he and Adam were sharing at the hotel in Kansas, he saw a note on the dresser. He noticed Adam was sleeping and didn't want to disturb him, so he picked it up. His eyes scanned over the sheet of paper, slowly changing from curiosity to horror. The note fell from his hands as he looked to Adam's "sleeping" figure on his bed. He climbed up on and put his hand on his best friend's cheek. Still warm, he hadn't been dead for long. A tear fell down Kris' cheek, swiftly followed by another. They continued to fall down as slight tears turned into heavy sobs.
Matt Giraud walked through the hallway looking for Kris and Adam. Danny was taking them all out to dinner on him. He peeked through the door and saw Kris on top of Adam in bed. He smiled, knowing that the two would end up together.
"Hey you two, dinner's on Gok," he stopped, noticing that Kris' entire small form was shaking with sobs. He saw a note on the floor, clearly in Adam's loopy hand. "No……no!!" Kris heard this and looked up, his tear stained eyes meeting Matt's. "No!!" He shouted. Adam was one of his best friends. Kris nodded slowly, and Matt fell to his knees. "No…Adam!!" Kris, seeing Matt's breakdown, started to sob again.
A star had died that day. He died for no reason. Some cruel people had decided to protest because he was who he was. Everyone in the world is equal, no matter of race, gender, or sexuality. If the world was smart enough to realize this, a great life could've been spared.
