They Heard

Of course we heard the girls giggling and playing. How could you not?

"Dear don't you think we should go tell them that we hear them, or at least go see them to make sure there okay?" my husband asks lying next to me in our bed.

"Shh honey…let them be children," I replied.

"But what about Elsa's powers? They're getting stronger," he said, "I'm worried." He has a point, I thought, but some part of me wanted to let them enjoy being kids. Playing, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. They would no longer have time for that once Elsa was a certain age, so they should enjoy it. Of course part of my, probable a mothers intuition, knew that something was going to happen. I couldn't tell if it was good or bad, but I decided to leave it alone. More giggling could be heard through out the empty tower and the sound of ice and snow being formed echoed the hallways. "I'm going to check on them," my husband said getting out of bed, and getting dressed in his day clothes. I sighed and pulled myself up to do the same, throwing on my dress and tying up my hair in the braided bun. Just when we were finished the air suddenly dropped to a freezing temperature. Then the hallway became silent except for the eerie sound of crystalizing ice and finally Elsa's voice,

"Mama! Papa!"
