Can someone tell me what the point of disclaimers are, again? I mean, I'm pretty sure if you're on a fanfiction site you're obviously not the person behind the series you're writing about. It just seems like common sense.

Big Top Bungle
"I've lost it!"
A melodramatic mime bursts into the make-up tent. He ransacks the room but finds nothing. He collapses, heartbroken.
"Oh how despicable! I'm doomed!"
Mr. Mime's frantic cries makes their way to the strongman, who barks back at him, "Cut the crap, clown!"
"Oh Conkeldurr, it's my nose, my nose! Five minutes before showtime and I've misplaced my nose!"
And so Conkeldurr makes do with a quick carny fix. He removes his own nose and aimlessly sticks it on Mr. Mime's face.
"Fine, use mine for tonight! But I expect to see it back safe and sound, capeesh?!"
