--Yoruichi's POV--

The bus lurched forward and she stumbled…right into my arms. All that happened next was purely reflex as I wrapped both arms around her, drawing her close as well as stabilizing her. Soon, everything returned to normal and I looked down at the person I'm currently holding in my arms.

"Are you alright?" I asked, my heart speeding at a hundred miles per hour, thundering as loud as a freight train. She looked up and gave me one of those small smiles which I love so much.

"Yep, I am…thanks for catching me" she said as she moved to stand up. Anytime, I wanted to add but didn't. As fate would have it, the bus lurched forward again as the driver jammed his brakes for the hundredth time during the journey. Not that I mind, this lurch sent her further into my arms than before; allowing me to hold her closer than ever, my arms tightened instinctively.

"Looks like you're fated to be here" I said to her, all the while holding her close.

"Seems like it" she said, "stupid bus, can't the driver stop acting as though he's driving a Formula One car and start driving the bus the way it should be driven?" she started to stand again, only to end up in my arms once more.

"I think you should give up trying to get up and stay here. The driver doesn't seem to be waking up from his F1 fever anytime soon." I joked. But my insides were squirming. It's not every day you get lucky and have the one you love falling into your arms. Now I know you'll start asking, since we are a couple, why not just hold her as much as I like. Thing is, we are not. Heck, she doesn't even know that I love her. See my predicament now?

"Oh look, it's our stop! Time to get off." She pushed herself off me and pressed the bell. Without her, my arms suddenly felt really empty and cold. Her scent clung onto my shirt and I began replaying the entire scene in my head over and over again. Despite the force in which she crash into me, it doesn't hurt one bit. Every moment was like a dream come true.

"Yoruichi?" she snapped her fingers in front of me, bringing me back to reality. "It's time to go, come on."

Oh right! I kicked myself mentally for spacing out on her and followed her off the bus.

What a ride.

AN: It's been a while since I tried writing in first person. School is as usual, crazy and I won't be writing The Secrets We Keep for at least another three more weeks. Writing this fic made me go 'awww'...I hope I elicit similar reactions from you all. As usual, read and review. =)
