1Why, oh, why
Cold, pale flesh met warm hand as House leaned down to brush away the sandy brown hair covering the corpses eyes. He marveled at how someone who was once so full of life could be so still, so empty. Ignoring the other people moving around him, House silently asked the god he didn't even know he believed in how someone so young and caring could die so suddenly. Thinking about all they've been through together, House realized that he would be lost without the one important person left in his life. Letting out a short, choked sob, House fell to his knees in front of the open coffin. Pain ignored, cane forgotten, he looked upwards and cried out in anger, "Why Wilson? Why?"
