Mistletoe and Resolutions

They were all there, eating the food, watching the snow slowly fall outside the balcony, or just enjoying a nice chat amongst themselves.
Christmas Eve was always an event for them, and they made sure to have everyone together.
Kiba, Neji, Naruto, and Shikamaru stood outside in the cold winter night.
"Don't you just love this feeling of snow falling down?" Naruto exclaimed.
"No" Shikamaru replied, teeth chattering slightly.
"Then go inside," Neji said.
"It's too loud in there, I'd rather be out here."
"Well I think the guy's got a point," said Kiba. "It is too cold. Except I don't care about the noise. See you guys later."
As he entered the room, two exited from it.
"Aren't you boys cold?" Tenten asked, rubbing her hands together.
Naruto laughed, knowing what had just been said before the girls arrived.
"Even if they were," Temari began, "They'd be too 'macho' to show it. Right, Shikamaru?"
He just smirked.
"That's what the coats are for, woman," he said.
She rolled her eyes and stood next to him, with Tenten shifting closer to Neji.
"So I know it's not even Christmas yet," Tenten began, "but do any of you have any resolutions for the upcoming new year?"
"Do you?" asked Naruto.
She nodded. "My resolution is to get stronger. Not physically though, I mean emotionally and mentally."
"A good resolution," Neji said. "Mine..."
He looked up into the sky, filled with millions of tiny flakes falling.
"Mine is to stop trying to see only with these eyes, and to start seeing more from within myself."
"How deep," replied Naruto. "As for me, my resolution is to-"
"Say become Hokage and I'll break your jaw," Temari threatened.
Naruto went silent and remained that way.
Shikamaru laughed. "Well mine is to try and relax more next year."
Temari hit him. "More relaxing? As if you haven't done enough this year already!"
He looked at her. "You're right, I haven't done enough this year. That's because of you being such a pain in the ass."
Temari sighed. "Well then I guess my resolution for next year is to get lazy asses like you to start doing more than sleep."
The others laughed.
Shikamaru just smiled and looked behind them. "And I guess your resolution is to be more outgoing and persistent, right?"
They all turned around to see Hinata, who was just blushing.
All of them joined Shikamaru in smiling.
She did too. "Um, Kiba said you wanted me, Naruto?"
He looked confused. "Um, I don't remember saying anything like that..."
"Hey!" A voice came from above. They looked up to see Kiba, Ino, and Lee holding mistletoe above them.
Ino giggled. "You know what comes next right?"
Tenten smiled and pressed her lips into Neji's.
Hinata, who decided Shikamaru was right, leaned into Naruto, kissing him as well.
The remaining two smiled at each other awkwardly, looking back up at the roof.
Ino swung the mistletoe playfully on the string it was attached to.
Shikamaru and Temari moved their gazes to each other, awkward feelings gone.
"Merry Christmas, Shikamaru."
They kissed.
"Merry Christmas."
