Oneshot: Boruto's Love

Valentine's Day 2016

He remembered how she blushed when he told her he was going to be her right hand man when she was Hokage. He didn't want to admit, but he liked her. He wanted her to like him, but it was pointless. They were just friends.

She remembered that day, years ago, how he blushed when she commented on his eyes. It was a odd response, but she thought it was cute.

He got up and left his room, exited the house and went out to the street. He walked around, thinking about her.

She rose, from her bed and walked out to the street, thinking about Boruto. She had liked him ever since the defacing of the Hokages' stone faces. She had watched him and he was what had kept her motivated. She went over to Boruto's house, wanting to tell him, but was too shy and turned back.

He walked over to Sarada's house, leaving a note at the doorstep. He had been too shy to put his name on it though.

She walked back to her house, finding a notewith a bolt tied on. She went into her house, reading the note.

Roses are red, violets are blue.

My cheeks shine red when I think of you.

You are one of my very best friends

I hope that never ends.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Blushing, he hurried home after seeing her read it. Later, Sarada came to his doorstep. He opened the door, receving a hug from her. "Boruto, I have had a crush on you for years, and I just want you to know I thought that Valentine's Day note was the nicest thing ever." Boruto blushed deeply, saying, "Well, I loved you years ago, and I wanted to tell you, but never did, so well... Can you go out with me?" They stood there, still hugging until Sarada whispered one word. "Yes." They walked off into the sunset as a smiling Naruto and Hinata watched.

Happy Late Valentine's Day! 2/13/2016
