A/N: So this is my second Gakuen Alice fan fiction! Hope you like it, because I've been planning on making a story with their Alices, but didn't have any idea. Any way enough of me talking, enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Gakuen Alice!

.:Invisible By Day Dangerous By Night:.

.:Chapter One: Friends?:.

Sakura Mikan is your average girl that no one pays attention to. Everyone in her class never paid attention to her and treated her as if she was invisible. They never knew if she was even in the class or not. It was like she doesn't exist, or she's like a book you got bored of and just sits their on the shelf.

Mikan doesn't have any friends. She just talked to people when it was needed, like borrow notes, or work on a project together. She belonged to the Special Ability class, but even people in their didn't care for her existence. That was until the faculty members discovered that she had the Stealing Alice that was able to steal, copy, and erase the Alice permanently.

The principles decided that since Mikan has a powerful rare Alice, that she should be transferred to the Dangerous Ability class. The problem was that if everyone knew she was transferring to this class, than everyone would know she was dangerous, and eventually the AAO would figure out who she was. So, to make life easier, Mikan was to be assigned missions secretly and in disguise to hide her identity. Also, she wouldn't attend the Dangerous Ability classes with the others, instead she would be trained personally by Persona and other teachers.

Seems like Sakura Mikan's invisible life had changed into a dangerous and interesting one. Of course you people know that I'm going to make it more exciting. What kind of author would I be if I were to only write about her missions? What if suddenly everyone slowly starts to notice her, even the popular people? You'll just have to read to find out for yourself!

.:.

"There she is! After her!"

"Shit!" a girl said as she hid behind a corner.

The girl began to run. She ran as fast as she could towards the exit. The girl was dressed unusually, unlike a teenage girl should. She wore a white strapless top that barely covered her belly button with a black leather vest on top with lots of pockets. She wore black leather pants that had two chains hanging around her waist with lots of colorful rocks of different colors, with black combat boots. She wore white elbow length gloves, and to make her look more unusual she wore a white cat mask over her entire face, with her waist length brown hair loose.

What you would also find odd is how mush jewelry she wore. She wore three different types of necklaces. One was a rose laced choker with a silver cross hanging down. The second one was longer and it was a silver chain with a silver crescent moon. The third one was the longest and it had three pearls on it. Two of them white and the one in the middle was a flower in mandarin orange. Then she wore silver bracelets of about 7 on each arm over her gloves. Her ears had at least 3 piercings on each. Both carried two small thick silver hoops with an ivy design and a white pearl at the top of the hoops.

She ran until she halted to a stop. In front of her were many guards with guns of different types. This may seem like an impossible escape, but nothing is impossible for the 'Shiro Neko.' She reached behind her back to one of the colorful rocks. To be specific an aquamarine one.

"Put your hands up and drop the item you stole!" shouted the leader and all the guards pointed their guns towards her.

"Shoot me if you can." she smirked under her mask. Before the guards could shoot her she disappeared out of thin air.

"SHE ESCAPED!" yelled the leader.

"What took you so long, Neko-chan?" a man said. He wore a white mask that only covered his eyes. He had slick slightly long black hair. The rest of his outfit was a long black coat with black pants and white gloves. He also wore a lot of jewelry, but the only one visible was a black crystal earing hanging from his left ear.

"Tried to get out without the Transporting Alice. I got caught so I had no choice but to use it." the girl named Neko-chan said as she passed a CD case to the male.

"You have the rest of the night off." the male said as he left towards the bushes.

"Serio-sensei." the girl called.

"Hai?" the male named Serio said looking back.

"What do you mean by 'I'm getting a partner'?" the girl said tilting her head in a confused matter.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to read my mind?" Serio said his voice hinted a little annoyance.

"Gomen, bad habit, but I don't need a partner." Neko-chan apologized.

"I know, but you need to learn teamwork. Any way, enjoy your free time for now, Sakura Mikan." Serio disappeared past the bushes as he was engulfed into the darkness.

"'Team work'? Why the hell do I need to learn that?" Mikan said a little mad. She preferred to do things on her own.

Mikan headed back to the dorms. She didn't enter the building until she used a yellow/red/green rock to change her into the Middle School Divisions uniform. (A/N: Search for Misaki and Tsubasa to see their uniforms.) It also changed her hair back to her favorite hairstyle, which is two low ponytails. She decided to wear them low so she doesn't look so childish. She also put on her glasses. She opened the doors and walked to the cafeteria where dinner was being held.

Everyone was already eating. Mikan just casually walked to her usual seat at the 2 star table where no one paid any attention to her. This is how Mikan liked it. No one was there to bother her or to disrupt her peace. She just sat there and waited for the penguin robot to give her her 2 star meal, that was until her phone went off. This year Alices that were over the age of 10 could get phones that could only call people within the school, and only worked within the school.

"Hai?" Mikan said calmly.

"The CD you gave me has info on everybody in the school." Serio said.

"And what does that have to do with me?" Mikan said as she put some spaghetti into her mouth.

"There's some information about your parents." Mikan stopped the fork of spaghetti from entering her mouth.

"If you get something for me I'll let you see it for yourself." Mikan knew that Serio was now smirking.

"What do I have to do?" Mikan said in a serious tone. Mikan never knew anything of her parents. She first thought they were dead until she did a couple of missions revealing that they were still alive. Now, she would do anything to meet her parents at least once, or at least figure out why they left her with her grandfather who died recently.

"I need you to get into Imai Hotaru's lab and steal any good weapon you find there." Serio said.

"Fine." Mikan said and she shut her phone.

Mikan stood up calmly and left her unfinished food on the table. She left the building in no rush, and although it looks like she's not paying attention to anything, she was on alert in case someone was following her. Mikan walked to Imai Hotaru's lab which was just as big as their dorms.

"Damn, no wonder she's a Special Star." Mikan muttered to herself.

Before Mikan entered she had to remember some information about Imai Hotaru. She never entered or did anything unless she knows some information about the person. If she did then what was all the training for?

'Let's see...She's is known as the 'Ice Queen'. She blackmails Nogi-san a lot...Um...Her Alice was...Inventing? Or something like that...This is so troublesome.' Mikan thought to herself as she stood outside the door to the building. 'I don't get it. Why can't I just ask?'

"What are you doing here?" a monotone voice said behind her. There stood the lovely Imai Hotaru. Her hair longer than it was when she was 10 with bangs going on an angle. Her violet eyes showed no emotion as always and she was carrying a bag of supplies.

"Oh! Imai-san, you gave me a scare. Do you mind if I ask you something?" Mikan asked politely pretending to be scared by her, but Mikan knew Hotaru was standing there for over 3 minutes and 46 seconds.

"Yes, I mind." Hotaru said bluntly as she used her keys to open the door to her lab.

"I was wondering if I could have one of your inventions?" Mikan said smiling politely ignoring Hotaru's remark.

"I will on two conditions." Hotaru said as she put the bag down and ushered Mikan to one of her rooms. "One: If you pay me. Two: Who are you?"

"Fine I will pay you, and my name is Sakura Mikan." Mikan said with the famous anime/manga vain on her head. It was okay for her not to be noticed, but it was rude that she didn't know her name since they are in the same class.

"Never heard of you. Any way, what kind of invention do you even want?" Hotaru said as she rummaged through all her inventions.

"Um...Well, I don't know. He never told me." Mikan said rubbing the back of her head.

"I'm surprised someone even knows your alive." Hotaru said as she walked to her laptop.

"Hey, now that's mean!" Mikan lost it. She had never met anyone so rude. "It's not my problem that I don't want to be noticed!"

"Whatever. So? What invention do you want?" Hotaru said getting annoyed. She had never met anyone who even dared talk back to her.

"If I knew I would have been already out of your crazy lab!" Mikan said losing her patients.

"Then if you don't know then what are you doing here!?" Hotaru finally let her emotionless mask fall. This girl was wasting her time.

"I need it for someone okay!? If I don't I won't be able to-" Mikan spilled.

"'To' what?" Hotaru said getting curious. Although no one paid any interest in Mikan, Hotaru found her interesting.

"That's none of your business, Imai-san. Any way, give me any weapon that can cause harm." Mikan said putting on a serious face to make Hotaru drop the subject.

"I'll give you a weapon for half the price if you tell me what you were about to say." Hotaru said crossing her arms.

"No deal." Mikan said crossing her arms like Hotaru.

"I'll give it to you for free."

"No."

"I'll let you take my inventions any time you want for 1/3 of the price."

"What if I tell you part of what I was going to say?" Mikan said thinking over the offer. It was a good deal since Serio loves Hotaru's inventions. Plus, she wouldn't have to pay a lot.

"I'd prefer the whole story, but I guess part of it is good enough." Hotaru said uncrossing her arms and searching through her inventions again. "So, what are you waiting for? Are you going to tell me or not?"

"Well, I thought my parents were dead, but then I figured out they aren't. This guy will give me some information if I give him one of your weapons." Mikan said quickly not giving many details.

"That wasn't a lot." Hotaru said narrowing her eyes.

"Whatever, now how much is that gonna cost?" Mikan said pointing her finger at the weapon in Hotaru's hand.

The weapon in Hotaru's hand was just as tall as her. It was green and sort of looked like a bazooka. It was loaded with something, but Mikan couldn't figure out if it was big metal balls or something else.

"And what does it do?" Mikan added.

"60,000 yen (about 500 dollars) and the weapon shoots bombs in over a 2 mile radius." Hotaru said as she threw the weapon at Mikan, who barely caught it.

"Do you mind if I pay tomorrow. I don't have that much on me right now." Mikan said studying the weapon herself.

"Fine, but be sure to pay me." Hotaru said and waved her hand to dismiss Mikan.

"Oyasuminasai." Mikan said as she left Hotaru's lab.

The next morning Mikan woke up with the weapon still in her room. Mikan slowly got out of bed and went to dress up to Central Town. (A/N: I'm don't exactly remember if this is what the little town in the academy is called so tell me if it is correct.;P) Lucky for her it was a Saturday, no classes.

Mikan walked out of the room with her keys in her jeans. Mikan put on a powder blue long sleeve shirt that covered most of her hands with her finger tips sticking out. She took off her three necklaces and only left the one with the crescent moon on, and had no bracelets, but instead a silver rings with ivy patterns on her thumb and index finger on her left hand. She also had her earrings on except the pearls and one of the hoops were gone on each ear to at least keep her Alice under control. She wore simple light blue jeans that were too long so that her white sneakers stepped on them in the back. Her hair was in a low ponytail, with her glasses on her nose, and she had a black bag that she swung over her shoulder so that it was bumping her hip every time she took a step.

She hurried down the corridor and was about to turn a corner when she bumped into someone hard and fell on her back.

"Itai...Jeez, who would be walking around this late in the morning?" Mikan muttered to herself.

"Really, don't you ever look where your going?!" a husky voice yelled at her.

"Ah! G-Gomenasai!" Mikan stuttered and hurried herself up and stuck her hand out to the person in front of her to help them up. When Mikan got good glance at the guy she made a mistake to hurry down the corridor.

"Do I know you?" Hyuuga Natsume said as he stood up ignoring her hand and narrowed his eyes at her. He wore a red short sleeved shirt with a black skull on it. He wore dark baggy jeans and black sneakers. He had his hair in a messy way, but was good looking. He also had his usual ruby earing and dragon piercing on his ears.

"Umm...I-I sit right next to you in c-class..." Mikan said getting nervous and slightly scared by the boy in front of her. Although she knew she was stronger than he was he still had a scary aura to him. Plus, he was a head taller than her and very good looking.

"Never seen you before." Natsume said still looking at her hard into her chocolate eyes.

"Y-Yeah I get that a lot. U-Umm...Sayonara!" Mikan said blushing a little and ran down the corridor.

"Weird girl." Natsume muttered to himself and kept walking towards his best friends room, Nogi Ruka.

Mikan made it on time for the bus towards Central Town. She could not believe that Hyuuga Natsume even talked to her, although it was for a little bit. Mikan didn't have a crush on him, but he was popular and good-looking, while Mikan was invisible and plain looking. I mean, if you were her wouldn't you get nervous of the attention a popular guy gave you? Mikan decided to forget about it and say to herself it was just pure luck. No way would a guy like him ever talk to her again.

Mikan got off the bus and walked casually towards Alice Bank.

"Hey, you!" a familiar voice called.

"Huh?" Mikan looked behind her to see Hotaru walking towards her with the class president, Tobita Yuu. "Can I help you?"

"Where's my money?" Hotaru said sticking out her hand, palm facing up.

"I'm going to go get it so you can wait here." Mikan said and turned back towards her direction.

"I don't trust you so I'm going with you. Come on Yuu." Hotaru said and she walked beside Mikan.

Hotaru wore a simple white dress shirt with a black pleaded skirt and brown knee high boots. Her hair clipped to the side with a two purple bobby pins criss-crossing each other. Yuu wore an orange polo with plain jeans and black sneakers and his glasses. He had also become good looking since he was 10.

"You don't have to go with me, 'cause I will pay you." Mikan said looking straight ahead.

"How can we believe you're telling the truth?" Hotaru said looking at her.

"Because I am telling the truth." Mikan said closing her eyes for a while. She was getting tired of talking this much. She hasn't talked much ever since she came to Gakuen Alice.

"Hotaru, why can't you just believe her?" Yuu tried to convince her.

"It's not only that." Hotaru said giving Yuu a weird look.

"Oh! Now I get you!" Yuu smiled.

"What are you guys talking about?" Mikan eyed them suspiciously. She was about to read their minds, but unfortunately for her they were at the bank.

Mikan walked up the steps trying to ignore the two people following her. If they weren't the Imai Hotaru and the Tobita Yuu, then she wouldn't have cared if they followed her. But this...this was a major problem. If you're an average nobody girl and have two popular people chasing you, everyone notices you. The one thing Sakura Mikan hates is: Publicity and Attention. First Natsume and now these two?! Mikan couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.

"You know you could just wait outside." Mikan said trying her best to get rid of them. Sooner or later people will notice her being with Hotaru and Yuu.

"No." they both said at the same time.

'I tried.' Mikan thought.

She walked in and quickly went to withdraw her money.

"100,000 yen (911 dollars) please." Mikan smiled politely.

"Here you go, Sakura-san, and have a pleasant weekend." the lady smiled back. 'She's so sweet and adorable!' she thought.

"Arigatougozaimasu!" Mikan left the lady still thinking about how cute she is.

"Here you go, Imai-san!" Mikan gave Hotaru 60,000 yen. "Bye!" The moment she said 'bye', she ran for it.

"Do you still want to follow her?" Yuu said looking at Hotaru.

"Yes." Hotaru said walking towards the direction Mikan ran.

"So tell me again why you want to know her better?" Yuu asked catching up.

"She's interesting." Hotaru kept looking forward.

"So basically you want to be friends with her?" Yuu said trying to catch her eye.

"No." Hotaru answered, but Yuu knew she answered a little too quickly.

"You really do want to become Sakura-san's friend!" Yuu smirked at her.

"Shut up." Hotaru said glaring at him.

Mikan ran all the way to the bus stop. She then remembered that the next bus doesn't come until an hour. So to keep herself busy she decided to go to the book store. One of the many things Mikan likes are books. They always made her forget her worries, and when you read you're so quiet that people don't notice you.

Mikan entered her favorite shop. She usually went immediately to the action, romance, and drama novels, but today she was in the mood for cartoons.

"Ah, Mikan-chan! Haven't seen you here in a while!" the owner of the store, Riku, greeted her. Riku had silvery blond hair that was short and the bangs were a little too long. She wore a yellow blouse with a baby pink flowing skirt that went to her knees. Her eyes were a dark shade of pink. Her Alice was the same as Narumi's.

"Yeah, I've been busy. Any way, have any recommendations on mangas, Riku?" Mikan said as she headed over towards the manga bookshelf.

"Manga? Since when did you start reading that stuff?" Riku followed her.

"I never really read them, but I'm just in the mood for picture books." Mikan said skimming over the titles.

"Well, I have some good ones in the back. Wait here and I'll get them for you!" Riku smiled brightly and went towards the back door.

"Okay! Let's see..." Mikan skimmed over the titles with her index finger. She kept going right until she bumped into someone.

"Ah, gomen." Mikan said as she looked at the person she bumped into. "H-Hyuuga-san!"

"Oh, you're the weird girl from this morning." Natsume said looking at her hard again.

'Why is he staring at me like that?!' Mikan nervously thought. She tried to move her eyes from his hard gaze but couldn't do it. It's like he froze her.

"Mikan-chan, here are some good ones!" Riku happily presented Mikan with at least ten mangas.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, arigatou!" Mikan finally brought herself to face away from Natsume.

"You don't have to pay for those! Since you're my best customer, I'll let you have these for free!" Riku smiled.

"Oh no, I couldn't do that!" Mikan said looking worried.

"It's okay, it's okay! Now off you go with your boyfriend!" Riku smiled and pushed Natsume and her together towards the exit of the shop.

"B-Boyfriend?! W-Wait, Riku! He's just a classmate!" Mikan blushed. She didn't think anyone would mistake them for a couple. It seemed a little impossible.

"Eh!? But you two look so good together!" Riku protested as she looked at Natsume back to Mikan. "I seriously thought you and Natsume-kun are going out!"

"That seems impossible Riku." Natsume said as he headed back towards the manga section.

"Yeah, it's impossible." Mikan said still blushing a little.

"Nothings impossible!" Riku said smiling.

"Well some things are." Mikan said and was about to leave when she almost crashed into someone.

"Oh, excuse me!" Nogi Ruka smiled politely. He had grown his blond hair longer. He wore a green long sleeved shirt that went up to his wrists. He had a white short sleeved dress shirt over it unbuttoned, with blue jeans and white sneakers with green stripes on the side.

"Either God has something against me, or I have bad timing." Mikan muttered to herself. She bumped into 4 popular people! Not 1 or 2 but 4!

"Huh?" Ruka looked back at her when he heard what she said. "Hey, Natsume, who's the girl?"

"Not sure exactly, but I met her this morning. Says she sits next to me in class or something." Natsume said picking out a manga and reading the back.

"That's weird. I never knew she sat next to you. Actually, I never knew anyone even sat next to you!" Ruka said his eyes following her as she walked towards the bus stop.

"I know, it's as if she were invisible." Natsume said as he put the book back in it's place.

"You know you're talking a lot about her than you usually do about other girl." Ruka narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"Am not." Natsume brought a book to the register and gave Riku the money.

"You now Ru-chan, that I mistaken them for a couple?" Riku said. She couldn't help but listen to the good looking guys talking about Mikan.

"Shut up you hag." Natsume glared at her.

"They would look absolutely perfect to each other! Her sweet and cheerful personality would go perfect with Natsume-kun's mean and cold personality!" Riku continued ignoring Natsume.

"Do you know her, Riku-san?" Ruka asked getting curious. The girl really did sound like a good match for Natsume. It's like people say, opposites attract.

"Don't tell me you like her Ruka." Natsume said getting annoyed of the conversation about him and the weird girl.

"No, I'm not interested in her. I'm just curious and I know you want to know more about her." Ruka smirked at Natsume.

"No I don't!" Natsume gritted his teeth.

"Yes, you do." Ruka smirked more.

"Her name is Sakura Mikan. She's in Class B in the Middle School Division. Her Alice is Nullification." Riku said interrupted them.

"I guess she does sit next to you, Natsume." Ruka said surprised that she's in the same class they were, but never noticed.

"Tch, whatever. I never asked if I wanted to know or not." Natsume said annoyed.

Soon it was Monday and Mikan was in no rush. She couldn't help but think about Saturday and how she met 4 popular people. She just hopes they forget about her, which she knows they will, and hope to stay invisible again. Like I said, she hates publicity.

Mikan was now walking towards her noisy class where there should be Narumi, but he still leaves the class under the substitutes supervision. She entered the class and luckily for her no one noticed. She saw Hotaru working on an invention with her friends Yuu, Nonoko, and Anna talking to each other. She looked farther and saw Ruka feeding his rabbit with the girls around him and Natsume. Natsume was in his usual position, feet on the desk, chair leaning back, hands behind his head, and a manga over his face.

Mikan sat down in her seat next to Natsume and took out one of the mangas she got from Riku. It was called 'Kamichama Karin'. She opened to the first page where it showed Karin standing in front of Shii-chan's grave.

Hotaru and Yuu didn't notice the door open or see anyone walk in, until they saw Mikan sitting next to Natsume reading as if she didn't do anything big at all. They never knew that a girl like her sat next to Natsume.

Natsume sat there but suddenly his mind came to the girl he met Saturday. He didn't know why, but for some reason his thoughts kept wandering towards her. He thought he just probably wanted to play around with her or something. Ruka looked from his rabbit and looked past Natsume to see the girl they met Saturday sitting next to Natsume, reading.

"Natsume!" Ruka hissed and nudged him. "She's here."

"Who are you talking about?" Natsume said raising an eyebrow when he perfectly knew who Ruka was talking about.

"The girl you said was weird! Sakura-san!" Ruka said her name a little too loudly and it caught Mikan's attention.

"Huh?" Mikan looked at Ruka's direction, but she wasn't sure who called her name. She shrugged and went back to her manga where Karin just met Himeka for the first time.

"So she does sit next to me." Natsume said making his manga slide down his face so he could see her.

"Sakura-san!" Yuu came up to her, which gave everyone her and his attention. "You want to come with me and Hotaru to her lab?"

"H-Huh?" Mikan spaced out. The moment Yuu called her name she was surprised. Why hadn't they forgotten about her!?

"He said are you coming to my lab?" Hotaru said coming from behind him. They were both standing in front of her.

"W-What for?" Mikan said getting uncomfortable. Everyone was watching her and whispering to each other who she was and what she was doing with Yuu and Hotaru. Also, why was she sitting next to Natsume?

"Aren't we friends?" Yuu said.

"S-Since when were we-?" Mikan said with her face entirely showing everyone she had no clue what they were talking about.

"Why do you think we went with you to Central Town?" Hotaru smirked a little. What she said was half-true. She only went to Central Town to follow Mikan, she never went with her.

"Yeah, so it means were friends now, right?" Yuu said understanding where Hotaru was going with this.

"I-I guess..." Mikan said unsure if she answered correctly.

"Then we'll see you after class." Hotaru said and went back to her seat.

"See you, Mikan-chan!" Yuu changed her name.

"..." Mikan was lost. 'What the hell was that about!?' she thought.

A/N: Wow really long chapter! But I really wanted to do a story like this! So any way hope you enjoyed! Oh and if you wondered since she can copy Alices why does she carry stones. It's because she only copies rare and useful Alices. She's finds it troublesome for her body to hold all that power and suffer.

Please review for at least this chapter. I need to know if you guys want me to continue or should I just quit this story. Also check out my other story Black Sakura! It will be updated soon as possible!
