Bleh. I suck. Anyways, I think that a man who can stand against the darkness can stand against his fears. Welcome to a new One-Shot! As such with my beautiful stories, I AIN'T OWN SHIT. SO LIKE I AIN'T OWN THE LEGEND OF ZELDA, EVEN THOUGH IT HAS INSPIRED ME. So, enjoy!
With a loud clunk, the sacred blade clattered to the ground, handle slick with blood. "No!" A voice screamed, as his body collapsed. "It wasn't supposed to end like this! W-we won!" Her voice quaked, tears slipping from beautiful violet eyes.
"Link! Please! Get up!" She shook his body, tears splattering on a bloodstained green tunic, not believing that he could be gone. He had endured so much pain, and sacrificed so much to those he didn't even know.
A true hero to the end, yet he wouldn't get to see Hyrule restored to it's true splendor. Zelda hugged his body, not caring the he bled all over her dress. "Please Link… please get up." The princess still couldn't believe that he had died. Link, the hero who stood alone against the darkness that threatened the land.
It was said that the darker the night, the brighter the light when hope finally arrived. The light that Link brought would not be distinguished, even though the hero had fallen.
Stories were written, and people believed. If a simple goat herder can find the courage to stand up for those who can't, then they too could stand against the darkness.
So the princess buried the hero here, where his blood had once stained the land. She had softly laid a hand against his grave, and whispered her love for him.
Soon, his legend faded, simply whispers riding upon the winds of time, but courage need not be remembered, for it can never be forgotten.
So let this message sink in. Whether skyward bound, adrift in time, or steeped in the glowing embers of twilight… May it even be found in the fading breath of the wild, ordinary people can rise to be heros. Just look inside, for all people possess courage.
