Rose Tyler was stumbling down the familiar stone path traveling away from the small village and everything she had grown used to. It was a cold, damp day just like many others; there would be more rain later, she could feel it in her bones. As the stone slowly faded into sand, rocks, and bits of grass, she came upon iron fencing that surrounded a freshly dug grave. Rose opened the gate with somber hesitation and entered. There it was. The final resting place of the love of her life, The Doctor. He had lived a good life. They, had lived a good life. Together. But Tentoo just didn't have the same air about him as her Doctor, the one she thought about everyday. He was too edgy and easily agitated, they often fought. Still, they had loved each other with everything they had. He told her he loved her everyday, and showed it in everything he did. Still, she couldn't help and remember him even now, after all these years, she missed him. Rose was imagining how if it had truly been her Doctor, he wouldn't have let such a trifle thing like sickness take him, he would have devised a brilliant plan on the spot and saved the day. Only once did he ever fail. That had been the worst day of her life, the first time she had been stranded at Bad Wolf Bay. He came back for a moment, yet it had only been a reflection of his true form. Rose broke down, she cried and expressed her love for him. "Quite right too." It was the last time she would ever hear that sly tease in his voice "I suppose, if it's my last chance to say it... Rose Tyler... I..." And with that she didn't hear from The Doctor for years.
As Rose was reminiscing about all the adventures they had had through time and space together, she knelt down next to the freshly turned earth. "I love you so much..." Rose weeped. "Please Doctor, one last miracle for me. Please don't be... Don't be dead." Through the sobs, tears, and rustling of the dying grass she hears a familiar whirring. Could it be? Rose jumps up, glimpsing a faint box of blue in the distance. She runs out of the gate tripping over rocks and getting her feet entangled in clumps of grass on the way. As she nears the treeline her thoughts are confirmed, peeking through the dense foliage is the TARDIS "Doctor!" she screams, banging on the wooden blue doors. "Doctor where are you!?"
"Coming my way doll?"
Rose whips around. It's him; standing there in his cocky manner while the breeze gets in his coat, he runs his hands cooly through his messy mop of hair, she can breathe once again. "Is there any other way daddy-o?" Rose stammers through the quickly fading pain as she rushes to his eager arms. "I waited for so long, that I started to give up hope..."
"I know love" he acknowledged gently caressing her cheek, wiping the tears away. "I'm here now."
"Hang on. How are you here?"
"The angels have the box in the future. They were controlling it, keeping me from crossing dimensions to you. I committed genocide. The angels fell. All so I could spend forever with my hearts' one true desire."
Rose leans closer, breathing in his intoxicating musk as she takes his hand. "My sweet angel, fallen from grace. Doomed to spend eternity with an old lady. Doctor I..."
"Hold that thought! Something's not right, she's acting up, not quite stable."
"No! Doctor no! Wait! Please don't leave me!" Rose cries with her broken heart as the TARDIS slowly vanishes from sight, again.
