The Price

A/N: Since I don't know how to spell Mr. Phoenix's first name, he will be named Finch in this story. This is a different take on the stand-off…

Dean stood on the dirt road, staring down at Finch. The Phoenix had been nothing but problems for him and Sam since they had came here. Finch's last stand was coming forward, especially with the Colt hiding in Dean's coat.

"You know hunter, I have a few little secrets up my sleeve." Finch laughed. Dean rolled his eyes. They set for their draw. Dean's hand were right above his gun. On the count of three, they tore them out of their holsters. Dean aimed and fired at Finch, but Finch didn't aim at Dean. Oh no, not when there was a giant man from the future in perfect sight. He knew that those two were close, so he fired at Mr. Walker, the Texas Ranger.

The bullet hit Finch in the chest and he exploded. Dean didn't even know that Finch had fired at Sam. He got the bottle out of his coat and ran forward just as Cas pulled them out. He slid on the carpet.

"Sam!" Bobby yelled. HE ran past Dean to Sam, who was laying on the floor behind Dean. His hands were stained red with his own blood. Finch had hit him and Dean hadn't even known. He turned around and looked at where Bobby was. HE saw the blood on the floor.

"Sammy!" Dean yelled. HE ran forward and slid on the ground by his brother. "No Sammy come on man." He pushed a shirt down on the wound. He remembered seeing Finch pointing the gun at him, but he didn't remember seeing him point it at Sam. "Cas please." Dean begged.

"I'm drained Dean." Cas said. Dean looked at him with tear streaked cheeks.

"Please." He begged. "Please." So Cas walked over to Sam and raised a hand over his chest. And there was a bright light. After the light disappeared, Sam went to the door to receive Samuel Colt's package. He had no memory of the fight, and Dean would have it no other way. But of course he had to wash Cas's trench coat for awhile.
