Dancing on a Sunday Afternoon:

It was a Sunday afternoon, the sun was shining in the window of Myka and Helena houses's sunning room big windows, lighting it with a golden glow. It was a picture perfect day, the one you only saw in movies. The soft slap-slap of feet against wood and Helena entered guiding Helena, who was blindfolded, by tugging her by the arms. "Come on. Come on. I have a surprise for you." Myka said the excitement evident in her voice. "I can't wait to see it, darling." Helena said groping for a wall to lean on.

Myka pulled out a chair and guided H.G. into it "sit" was all she said and tiptoed across the room where she slipped a cd into the cd player. "Today to make up for all that lost time you had in the bronzer today we start on the journey to music 1900 to the 2000s. Jazz, Hip Hop, Disco, Punk you'll love it!" She pressed play and then a crackle came on it cleared a drumbeat started thumping a loud heavy beat and the strum of an electric guitar. Myka came over and untied the blindfold and helped her up since H.G. leg was a little weak still from the bomb blast that they thought had killed her.

"Welcome to the 2000 music. Loud pop and punk, emo. Come on dance with me." Myka started jumping up and down to the beat of the music. She looked so silly that Helena laughed out loud and it felt good. She hadn't laughed for along time. "Come on" Myka said reaching out a hand. "How to you dance to this?" H.G. asked over the screaming of the singer. "You don't. Thats the fun! You just jump around" H.G. looked at her strangely but did as she was told and started jumping. It was oddly satisfying and fun and too soon the song was over. "Next up the 80's pop: Nirvana, and Madonna, U2. These are not really dancing music but still its important"

The pair sat in chairs listening to the music that blared from the player. Once the song was over Myka stood up. "Its disco next." A sound of electric beats filled the room. Myka stood up and started moving her hands. "Come on Helena. It's not fun unless you do it too" but H.G. was laughing to hard to stand up. "Myka, Myka, stop. Please" she said gasping for breath. But she got up and went to stand up next to Myka.

"Ok so you move your hands like this" she said as she took Helena's arms and moved them across her body and the back up so that her hands were pointing up. Until the song was over they looked so funny. For 30 more minutes they danced and laughed to the songs that were played. Until the last song, it was a slow song with violins and other instrumental. Myka went over and put her hands on Helena's waist. This was a dance that Helena knew how to do.

She put her hands on Myka's shoulders and they slow danced around the sunning room. "You know, you dance pretty well for someone who could be my great grandma". "Don't tease darling, its unflattering." Myka leaned up and kissed Helena on the lips. It was slow and passionate kiss and it made H.G.'s head spin and she leaned in for it to be deeper. When Myka broke away she leaned her chin on H.G.'s shoulder and whispered in her ear. "Happy Anniversary Helena".
