Gordo: I don't know, I mean we're good friends and I thought that things are falling right into place but when I asked her out ... she immediately turned me down.
Miranda: Well, what do you expect, a cute, cheerleader type of girl. You actually thought she'd like you?
Lizzie: Miranda!!!
Gordo: No Lizzie, she's probably right.
Miranda: Sorry Gordo, I didn't mean to say that. Oh my God!!!, I almost forgot, Larry and I are going out tonight. Guess I should be home now. Bye guys!!
Lizzie: See you tomorrow.
Gordo: (in a sad tone) Bye.
A/N: Yes, Miranda and Larry are going out. What a perfectly odd couple.
Lizzie: (still worried about Gordo) Gordo, um, are you sure you're okay?
Gordo: I think so, look Lizzie, I should go home too, bye.
Later that night, Lizzie can't stop worrying about Gordo so she checked him out.

Mrs. Gordon: Hello Lizzie!
Lizzie: Hi Mrs. Gordon can I see David?
Mrs. Gordon: I'm not sure Lizzie, he seems depressed when he got home this afternoon... Yes! I think you should talk to him.
Lizzie: Thanks Mrs. Gordon.
Lizzie went upstairs to Gordo's room.
"knock-knock"
Lizzie: Gordo, It's me Lizzie, can I come in?
Gordo: ... Okay.
Lizzie: Hey, I just wanted to make sure if your alright.
Gordo: I'm fine. (staring blankly into space then looks at Lizzie.)
Lizzie: Really?
Gordo: Well, no, not really. I have been turned down so many times before and this is the worst. Miranda was right. How could a cut, cheerleader type of girl like a geeky, uninteresting, anti-Ethan kind of guy.
Lizzie: (holds Gordo's hand) Gordo, come on, you know that's not true. You're sweet, nice, interesting, fun to be around and...cute.(starts to blush)
Gordo: (starts to blush too then looks at Lizzie's hand and pulled away) Whoa there Lizzie, I know that you had a crush on me before but we're best friends. That is all we are and that is all we will be. You don't have to be mushy around me.
Lizzie: (blushes like crazy!) W-What! What are you talking about! I'm just here to make sure you're okay and I...I-I.....I'm going home now. B-Bye!
Gordo: Bye ( then thinks to himself)
Nah, she's my friend. She doesn't have a crush on me. (but he unconsciously smiles to himself at the thought of Lizzie liking him.)
