Preface
Our family was once again a whole. Alice and Jasper had returned to us and the Volteri were not a threat, at the moment. Everyone now knew that Renesmee was not the only half-human half-vampire 'hybrid' thanks to the presence of Nahol, to whom we owed eternally. Now we could all concentrate on the more important things in life, or should I say, immortality? Edward and I were so overjoyed with the fact that Renesemee would not have a short lifespan, but be like her father and I in a few short years. This was not only a joy, but also a fear. Her childhood would not be normal, then again, was living with vampires, werewolves and shape shifters normal? Her childhood would be a short one, the fact that she would reach full maturity in less than seven years and she already had a suitor! It was some thing hard to grasp, but I knew I'd have help with that, I had Edward. Not only him, but also I had Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, Jacob and the wolf tribe in La Push, not to mention the cousins in Denali, Kate, Tanya and Garrett, and those were just the immortals! I knew Charlie would be there with his 'need to know' mindset and would always be there as well, along with Rene, Sue Clearwater, and the rest that I now considered family after the recent events. Life's puzzle pieces were finally falling into place perfectly and I couldn't wait to act as a 'normal' family would with my husband, Edward, and my daughter, Renesmee, in our cozy little cottage just across the river from the main house.
