Enkidu07's Drabble Challenge
Prompt Word: GUISE. There was also a secondary challenge this week and that was to use some local flavor-try to include something about the area, such as a landmark or local legend. Anything that you would point out to a visitor as special, a special veiw, a tourist attraction, local festival or even just a local eatery (where Dean could get pie). Sorry, no pie for Dean here though. But maybe he enjoyed anyway.
Word Count: 100 words on the dot.
Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There're lots of people throwing Supernatural snowballs. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.
Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.
Midnight Munchies
By: Vanessa Sgroi
Still garbed in their guises of cemetery workers from Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sam and Dean Winchester entered the tiny restaurant "Nick Tahou's". It was after midnight, but Dean was starving and wanted to eat before returning to their motel.
Dean scanned the menu, his face lighting up when he spied something he wanted to try. "I'll have a Garbage Plate."
"Cheeseburgers or hots?" asked the worker behind the counter.
"Cheeseburgers."
"And for you?" the worker asked Sam.
"Uhhh, I'll take a-a…hot?"
"Red or white?"
Sam's brow furled. He shrugged. "Um, white, I-I guess." He turned to Dean. "Garbage Plate? Really?"

A/N 1: Mt. Hope Cemetery is the cemetery across the street from the hospital at which I work. The likes of Susan B. Anthony and Fredrick Douglass are buried there.
A/N 2: Nick Tahou's is a real restaurant here. They invented what's known as the Garbage Plate. It consists of two cheeseburgers (or hots, which are oversize hot dogs), home fries, and macaroni salad—all piled high on a plate and covered with this special hot sauce, which has meat in it. It's served with fresh bread and butter. Oh, and red hots vs. white hots-well, a red hot is like a normal hot dog. Here's what wikipedia says about white hots:
The white hot is a variation on the hot dog found in Rochester, New York, and the upstate area.[1] It is composed of some combination of uncured and unsmoked pork, beef, and veal; the lack of smoking or curing allows the meat to retain a naturally white color.[2] White hots usually contain mustard and other spices, and often include a dairy component such as nonfat dry milk.
