I, DramaRose13 and mastermarker would like to present Magic After Dark, an adventure with epic proportions. More to follow.
DisClaimer: We do not own anything!
Friday is everyone's favorite day of the week. Especially for teenagers, cause it meant no more having to be restricted by the man, and being free once more! Unless of course, you liked following rules, which is the case for one fiery CIT that will you will be introduced to later.
Our aforementioned CIT walked merrily down the halls, and grabbing the necessary items she'd need to take home for the weekend. She headed over to a girl wearing a sky blue hoodie, with long golden hair, tied back into a high ponytail, and a tan skinned girl with raven locks tied in pony tail wearing a black and white t-shirt that stopped just above her navel, hot pink jeans and matching sandals.
"Hi Bridge, Katie " Courtney smiled, greeting her friends.
"Hey Court, ready for the weekend?"
"Not at all! I haven't nearly gotten enough time to listen Mr. Harrison's lecture, and I definitely need to write more notes, and-"
"That was a rhetorical question, Court..." Katie replied
"Oh. Right. You REALLY need to stop asking me those Bridge!"
Before Bridgette could respond, a large, bootylicious girl wearing a beige baby tee, with kumquats on the bust, bounded over, with her sequin bag glistening under the florescent lights. Beside her, was a pale girl, with teal hair, and dark clothes. Her expression though, countered her attire.
"Sup ladies," the 'goth' said.
"Hello ma sistahs," the larger girl beamed.
"Guys, I have a great idea on what we can do this weekend!" Courtney squealed.
"Lemme guess," Gwen sighed. "Play The Flashcard Game: History Edition?"
"No! But we totally should, considering all of your grades on the last test!" Courtney remarked, while the other four girls groaned.
"Ugh, girlfriend, for someone 16 years old, you act like you're sixty." LeShawna said, rolling her chocolate brown eyes.
"Would someone sixty, want to take all of you to Disney World!"
"Yes." The others deadpanned, simultaneously.
"We go there like, every other week, it's really starting to get old. How many times can you ride Peter Pan's Flight before it gets really boring?" Bridgette moaned. Gwen and LeShawna nodded in agreement.
"you practically drag everyone of us onto It's a Small World every time we go and now I'm lucky if can go a day without getting the song stuck in my head" Katie whinned.
Courtney dropped her jaw, shocked. "Guys! But it's the land where dreams come true!" She gasped. Bridgette, Katie, LeShawna, and Gwen continued to stare at her emotionlessly. Courtney smirked, and cleared her throat.
"I know you, I met with you once upon a dream.
I know you, the gleam in your eyes, is so familiar a gleam.
Yet I know, it's, true, that visions are seldom all they seem.
But if I know you, I know what you'll do, you'll love me at once, the way you did once, upon, a, dream!" Courtney sang, while Bridgette Katie and LeShawna's faces turned into gleeful expressions, due to Sleeping Beauty being one of their favourite princesses. They all stared at Gwen with puppy dog eyes, until she rolled her eyes.
"I hate dogs." She droned. "Seriously guys! Are you going to give in that easily!"
"...I'll buy you the deluxe funnel cake tower, Gwen! PLEASE?" Courtney pouted.
"...FINE!" Gwen huffed. Bridgette, Katie, LeShawna, and Courtney cheered, dragging Gwen out of the school.
Authors Notes:
DramaRose13: Hello to all and special shout out to my Total Drama Disney World fans! I'm back with yet another story and this time I'm not alone. Mastermarker, my wonderful co-author, provided me with excellent ideas to get this story flowing. It took a lot to make it to today and so, here's the story of MAD: Over a year ago, not long after the release of Kingdom Keepers 3, I thought "Wouldn't it be cool if there was a Total Drama and Kingdom Keeper crossover?" I mulled it over in my head and I started to write draft after draft, version after version on looseleaf. Unfortunately, a few months ago I had lost some of those papers and was distraught. I put what I still had of it in my (massive) idea case and started up Total Drama Disney World. After realizing that it would be easiest to not go at alone, I recruited Alexex. After about a month, she quit but left with me the foundations of this chappie and so I give credit to her as well. After trying many different things, including a quiz, a poll, and even having people put help wanted ads in their updates, I finally got an anwser from mastermarker. Without mastermarker, none of this would be possible. Love ya, mm!
mastermarker: I hope all of you readers enjoy the start of the total drama crew's trip into disney world. read, review, but don't flame, also you should give most of the credit for this awesome story to drama rose, she was the one to come up with this awesome idea of the story, I just helped with some ideas.
And because we're too nice, here are some facts:
October 1, 1971 - after seven years of planning - about 10,000 visitors converged near Orlando, Florida, to witness the grand opening of Walt Disney World. The Magic Kingdom (the only theme park at the time on Disney property) featured Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, a Main Street USA, and about 5,500 Cast Members. The price of admission was $4.95!
At the end of October 1971, the total attendance was around 400,000.
The day after Thanksgiving November 26, 1971 ...
an amazing 50,000 guests entered the Magic Kingdom!
Walt Disney World also debuted 2 property hotels, the 15-story Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Village Resort - both built by U.S. Steel and both connected by a monorail system. The hotels were conceived by WED enterprises and the Los Angeles architectural firm of Welton Becket & Associates. U.S. Steel was to originally own the hotels, but just before opening, Roy Disney decided to buy out their interests and let Disney run the hotels themseleves.
Resort planners scheduled the opening in October in the hopes that estimated crowds would be small - and they were. This allowed any problems that might spring up to be fixed with minimal inconvenience ... unlike Disneyland's chaotic grand opening. Even official dedications and other media events were held off until later in the month so as to make sure everything ran smoothly. (The park's official dedication didn't take place until October 25.)
