Birthday Fever
Gwen P.O.V
This sucks! I was supposed to go out with Duncan on a date for my birthday. But now I can't because I had to come down with a damn fever!
"Gwen! Duncan is here to see you!" my mom yelled.
'Oh crap!' I got out of my bed and rushed to my dresser. I didn't care that I felt weak. I stepped up to the dresser and looked in the mirror. I looked horrible! I quickly grabbed my brush and stared brushing my hair.
"Hey Gwen."
I stopped brushing my hair, turned around and spotted Duncan leaning against my door way with a flat black box in his left arm.
He just raised an eyebrow at me. "Shouldn't you be in bed?"
Before I could respond he walked towards me. He took the brush from my hand and put it on my dresser along with the box. He picked me up bridal style and walked towards my bed.
"But-"He interrupted me
"You need your rest, okay." He said with a smile
I slowly nodded my head as he gently places me on the bed and pulls the blanket right under my chin.
"So how have you been feeling?" He asked while stroking my cheek.
"terrible." I said turning my head towards him.
He smiled. "Hey I got you something for you birthday girl."
He walked towards my dresser, retrieved the gift and came back to my side. I sat up straight in my bed as he place the gift in my lap
"I hope you like it." He said while rubbing the back of his neck
I gave him a smile and took the lid off the box.
Inside was a beautiful dark blue strapless dress with black lacing on the top fabric and a black rose.
I look up at Duncan and hug him.
"Thanks for the wonderful birthday gift." I said happily.
He hugs back then kissed my cheek and smiled.
"You're welcome babe."
Well looks like my birthday turn out great.
