Set just after "I Will Remember You"

Disclaimer: I think we all know that I am getting absolutely nothing from this little story.

"Why didn't you ever tell me about chocolate and peanut butter?"

"Well, I figured if your vamp taste buds couldn't really savor it then it would only hurt you in the long run."

She had left. Within minutes of walking through his door, or a little over twenty four hours depending on your point of view, Buffy, his amazing, wonderful Slayer had walked out of his life. All Angel could bring himself to do was hide out in his apartment and remember the day that everyone else had forgotten. He wrote it all down, making sure he would always be able to remember it, though his vampire memory, honed over 200 plus years, made it pretty certain he wouldn't need to refer back to the paper.

Reading through the pages, Angel couldn't help but laugh at Buffy's reasoning behind not telling him about some of the newer food options that had been created since he had last been able to taste anything properly. The best thing he had tasted that day was his love's chocolate and peanut butter combo. It had been absolutely divine, and the experience had been made even better when he kissed her and tasted the wonderful mix of the unique Buffy flavor, chocolate, and peanut butter.

Angel half smiled, thinking of her face as he had fed her the snack. She had looked completely blissful. Then his partial smile grew into a full out grin as he had a thought.

The following Friday, Buffy was just getting back to her house for the weekend when the mailman showed up with a box. When he saw that she was one of the residents of the house, he called out.

"Miss Summers?"

"Yes? May I help you?"

"I have a package for a Miss Buffy Summers."

Buffy was somewhat confused. Most of her mail went to her mailbox at the dorm now, and she rarely got packages anyways. "Who is it from?"

"It doesn't say miss. I just deliver them."

"Okay. Just set it down there on the steps. I'll take it inside." The man put the package where she had indicated, and turned to leave.

Inside, the Slayer's curiosity got the better of her, and instead of unpacking straight away as usual, she opened the box, and laughed. Inside the box, nestled in packing popcorn, were two large jars of crunchy peanut butter, and several large bars of chocolate.

Closing the lid to the box, Buffy looked at the handwriting her address was written in, and discovered that it was not one she recognized. Who knew about her favorite snack, and would send her this without a respond address?

Passing her sister's door, Dawn saw Buffy laughing as she prepared her snack, and shook her head at the eccentricities of older sisters.

A/N – Okay, so this idea came to me as I was watching "I Will Remember You" on Netflix today. Thanks for the idea of how the story went in general goes to JenniferJF, who wrote a wonderful Stargate SG-1 version. This wonderful author did most of the work; I just retrofitted it to fit the Buffy/Angel scenario. This is my first foray into the Angel/Buffy fandom, so forgive me if it's a bit out of character. Now, if you are actually still reading this, please R and R!
