So I've been dying to write a warriors fanfic! I've tried to write a few before, but I didn't like them so I threw them out! :D This is my very first publishing attempt! Just so you know, most of the characters in this fanfiction, are actually based off of the cats from my local cat shelter which my friends and I volunteer at frequently. So I'm sorry if most of them have the same pelt color (apparently black and white is a common pelt for strays ;n;)

I do not own the Warriors Series, the Warriors Series belongs fully to the great Erin Hunter! Woot!

I hope you enjoy!

PROLOGUE

The moon shone brightly on this night of no stars. It was full, and if you looked closely, you could see a light golden ring around the edges.

Despite it being the time of Greenleaf, the air was chilled where a ragged black and white she-cat stood. Cold water lapped at her scarred paws. She looked to the sky with one eye. Her other eye was white with blindness, but it seemed to look too. It looked into the moon, past the dark, starless sky. It was searching into a world many did not remember.

"Please, tell me this is where you want me." she whispered to the sky.

She looked into the water, the scent of salt filling her nostrils. She gazed at her reflection sadly. She sighed and closed her eyes.

"I know you couldn't have possibly abandoned us forever..." she sighed.

The scent of salt was washed away by the scent of rain. She twitched her tail in frustration and looked to the sky, expecting to see the looming shape of clouds covering the moon, a sure sign she had failed yet again.

But there were no clouds. Instead there were stars. Millions of them. She looked back into the water as the water stilled. Her reflection was gone. It was replaced by the beautiful face of a long-haired silver she-cat.

"Stormstar..." she gasped.

"You have not failed Lostgaze. But, you have not succeeded either." Stormstar meowed.

"What do you mean?" Lostgaze meowed pleadingly. "Please, tell me what I need to do!"

"A great flood will fill the shores, bringing life to the land. In it's path, twisters shall race through the prairies. Lightning will flash in the sky, striking the earth with power. Chaos will spread icily through the land as hail falls from the heavens. As a deadly storm consumes the land, the grayest of clouds will turn silver and fill the land with light." the silver she-cat mewed as she faded into the reflection of the stars.

"No! Rainstar! Don't leave me again!" Lostgaze mewed in fear.

As the water began to push and pull again, she lifted her head to the starless sky and yowled in pain, "Mother!"

So I hope you liked it! Please, all critiques are appreciated! But no flaming, I'm a sensitive soul ;n;
