It was a fine day in the village of Konoha, with only a few clouds and many birds singing. Hinata sat on the garden bench, admiring everything around her. She watched as the bees hovered around various flowers and how the flowers and leaves of the Sakura tree swayed in the gentle wind. It was so peaceful that it was enough to make Hinata forget about the dreaded event that was to take place the next day.

Hinata then felt a presence behind her. She didn't have to turn around or activate the Byakugan to know it was her imouto, Hanabi. Silently, she patted the empty space next to her, motioned her younger sister to take a seat.

"Hanabi-chan," she greeted.

"Onee-sama, you're a tad more serious than usual," Hanabi replied, worry evident in her words. "Is it because of… you-know-what?"

Hanabi and the rest of anyone who was close to Hinata didn't like mentioning the dreaded event and so decided to call it you-know-what.

Hinata smiled slightly. "I'm fine imouto-chan. Please do not be worried. I'll live. After all, if I can handle Naruto-kun and Sakura-san's marriage, surely I can handle this."

Hanabi's eyebrows furrowed as she successfully stopped the tears from flowing down. Hinata saw this and giggled. "Hanabi-chan, you're too young to be stressed. You have your whole life ahead of you. Make the most of it. After all, one day you are going to be bound to the destiny of Hyuga Clan Head." She sighed.

Hanabi seemed to hesitate before she leapt up and hugged her sister, clinging to her like there was no tomorrow. "I don't want you to get married onee-chan!" Hanabi cried out. "Why can't you cancel the wedding? You had a choice yet you chose one in which you would suffer!" This time she was incapable of suppressing those tears.

Hiashi watched his strongest daughter break down from the door which led to the backyard. Am I really doing what is right for the clan by marrying Hinata off to Uchiha Sasuke? He shook his head. It benefits both clans and besides, Hanabi is a much better heiress and will become a great clan leader. He sighed. Gomennasai Hinata.

Hinata patted her sister's head affectionately. "Now, now, Hanabi-chan. Don't get upset. I'm doing this for the clan, and I'm glad that at least there's something I can do that will make the Hyuuga council and Otou-sama happy. For now, let us enjoy the scenery, as tending to Okaa-chan's gardens will be the last thing I do before I leave the Hyuuga household."

Hinata picked a purple dahlia and placed it in Hanabi's hair. She then kissed her sister's forehead before bathing in the calming atmosphere of her late mother's garden for the last time. Hanabi had left ages ago and it was only until 8 that Hinata returned to the manor.

'I will miss Okaa-chan's garden, it's everything to me.' Hinata sighed, and her mother's garden was the last thing she thought of before her drifted off to sleep for the last time in her room in the Hyuga Household.

Something that was in my mind. I read it and then I was thinking, 'Um is it just me or is this story a bit… weird?' And yeah I don't really know but I felt like I needed it to get out there. So there it is. Ja minna-san!
