His hands shook as Kaidan rushed back to his pregnant lovers side as she went into laybor not five minutes ago. The baby was not supposed to be born for another month from now but things change in a blink of an eye. A rush of emotions rushed through him as he was scared and wasn't really ready for all this. The paramedics were on their way as he stook by her side throughout before there was a knock on the door that forced him to leave her. He opened the door and let out a breath that he didn't even know he was holding.
"She's in laybor and neds to get to the hospital as soon as possible." He explained as they asked him questions before they could move her. Finally placing her on the stretcher Kaidan came to Katerina's side while placing a kiss on the palm on her hand. "I'll be right behind you honey, i'll be right there with you." He muttered as she nodded at him before the two paramedics dragged her over to the ambulance before shooting back to the hospital.
His heart was pumping as he ran up the stairs, barging into his daughter's room. "Katherine honey wake up!" He shouted. Nothing.. "Katherine honey wake up for me." He shook her a little until she opened her eyes and looked at him.
"What's wrong daddy?" she asked in her tired tone.
"You need to get out of bed honey. Mommy has been rushed off to hospital, we need to get there as soon as we can." He said as he helped her change. She looked at him with a worried look in her eyes. "Your baby brother's decided to say hello a month early." He said as he rushed back downstairs and made sure that everything was turned off before grabbing the car keys and walking out with Katherine.
They both climbed into the car, putting on their seatbelts before Kaidan turned the car around and wasted no time in rushing to the hospital.
A few minutes passed as the car finally pulled up outside and both father and daughter ran inside up to the reception desk. Thankfully one of the nurses heard over the conversation and lead them both to Katerina's room. They both waited as the nurse walked in and pulled back to curtain. Katherine ran to her mothers side as Kaidan looked on to see that both mother and son were well.
Katerina looked up to him and smiled as he heard the faint little cry of his newborn son. He walked over to her side and placed a kiss on her lips before looking down to see his son, Ryan Alenko. He was just so tiny as Kaidan reached down to hold his little hand to which he smiled his little smile.
"He looks just like you." Katerina said as she looked to them both. Kaidan laughed a little as he nodded in agreeance. This was his family, and he would do anything to keep them safe.
