There's a starman waiting in the sky

SPN 100 Challenge, word of the week: star.

Summary: Funny, how some things sneak around the walls of oblivion.

A/N: Hi fellows and friends, I hope you started into this New Year well and full of energy. May it bring you joy and fulfillment and above all health.

He sat on the porch, sipping his beer and watching the stars twinkling like little gems on the dark satin of the night sky. It never ceased to amaze him, all those tiny dots of beautiful light, travelling through time and space, even if some of the stars that had once vibrated with heat and light were long gone. There was a strange comfort in that thought. As if they'd never stop watching over him.

"Douche", he thought and chuckled softly. "Next you'll dance with the faes."

There was laughter inside, then the door opened.

"Ben, dinner's waiting."

"Coming, mom."

A/N2: Sometimes I think of them, Lisa and Ben, after their new life started – and what a strange new life it must've been, with a black hole where bad memories were erased. Because I don't think that artificial memories would feel like the real thing. So – I imagined Lisa with a new partner, happy and safe, and Ben, maybe during his training to become a paramedic, because there are many ways to safe people, right? And how – in the end – the feelings of being loved and protected would find a way to stay with him, even if he doesn't remember Dean or the bad things that happened. Uh. Babbling. Sorry.
