Episode One, part one: The reason for war
My name is Jet, I'm a Freedom Fighter and I guess you could say that our group has been around for a while. How long is a while, you ask. Well, for about the past five years my friends and I have been searching for something. Something that would end this fourway war.
We've become a legend, no one sees us until we strike. We're just trying to stop the war. My friends and I are from different Earth kingdom colonies, and I know we should support the war as much as the next colony, but we're tired of seeing our friends and family go off to fight the war and never come back. That's what happened to my parents. They were killed by Fire Nation soldiers when their platoon was falling back behind our lines.
Now, about this war, it consists of the four colonies that make up our world: the Air Nomads, pacifists. The Water Nation, live in both South and North pole and, from what I've heard, swamps. The Earth Nation, from Omashu to the walls of Ba Sing Sie, a strong bunch of soldiers who use the earth for weapons and defense. Then, there's the Fire Nation. They started this one hundred year bloodbath.
Originally the Air nomads were pacifists, but sometime ago, they became active in the war. They were led by a young nomad, whose name is never mentioned, and who was said to have been carried off by the wind. The Water Tribe was led by two siblings into the war, who were swallowed up by the water they were said to command. The Earth kingdom was led into the war by a blind bender, who saw more than she let on. The Fire Nation was led into the war by the princess, who vanished into an inferno.
But, rumor has it, she had a brother. Many believe he's a myth. But, we have a friend who knows he isn't. She knows the real story. She saw what really happened. She knows where the Avatar is, and she told us where to find him. My question: is he who she says he is?
