An unexpected Journey
No, no…NO! Where was she? In a bed, ok. What time? She looked at the clock. It already was the next day! She's getting too late for lecture! Ok, last question. WHAT happened? She could remember hey third beer, or was it already her forth? She looked around. A room, clothes everywhere, also some from her. She could hear a shower somewhere near. That was so embarrassing. She couldn't handle it. As fast as she could, she collected all her stuff and stud up. Slowly she tiptoed past what she expected to be the bathroom and flew outside.
After some weeks she almost forgot the whole scene. She went back to university and did her best to reach her dream. She hasn't asked, what happened or with whom she has been. Not till she get those strange nightmares. Then morning sickness. Soon she thought about what happened or with whom. She bought a pregnancy test but kept it all the time in her bag.
This day, she ran. Too late for lecture, again. Suddenly she bumped in someone and all her stuff flew all over the place. The other person sweared, then stood up. He glanced at her and she get brightly red. Those eyes…she remembered she was too late for class, stammered an excuse and ran off, leaving him and his things behind.
Later that day she bought something to eat and met him again. This guy with blue, piercing eyes and black, curly hair. She hardly stops till bumping into him again. He looked quite annoyed so she felt nearly cry. "I'm so sorry…I just…go…excuse me…" she felt tears welling in her eyes, but doesn't want to cry in front of him. He just stood there, looking at her. She doesn't care, her time here was almost over and she got a job in a clinic. Then everything would be different. So she just get on her toes and kissed him on the cheek. Then she whispered goodbye and went away. Yes, she repeated to herself, everything would change. But how far?
New place, new job. She smiled at herself. Yeah, now everything would change. She walked through the floor to her new place in St. Barths. Pathologist, this was her dream job as long as she could remember. It might sound strange but she felt peaceful around those dead bodies.
Till break there weren't many autopsies. One old man and two old ladies, all natural courses. Then, as she was alone in her room, she opened her bag and took out this test. Nervously she went inside the bathroom and did the test. Now she has to wait. Time seems to run by. Then she had the answer.
