The first thing Arthur noticed was the darkness. It surrounded him, engulfed him, like thick oily water. Whilst desperately scanning his surroundings and finding nothing but obscure shadows , Arthur took a deep breath only to start coughing and pulling at his throat; the darkness had impregnated his lungs through both his mouth and nose, leaving him reeling in disgust as the shadowy substance around him slowly entered his system. Suddenly the shadows parted a large distance from the struggling Arthur and a crisp bright light shaped vaguely like a man, moved closer and closer to the tumultuous figure in its path. Arthur opened his eyes which had turned a violent shade of red, and hastily pulled back from the shadowy figures that encircled him; with eyes a blazing shade of crimson and a malevolent aura surrounding them, they were terrifying, truly the creatures of nightmares. They were clawing for him, greedily taking possession of his mouth, feeding him with their malevolence and depravity. The brightness that was moving steadily closer caught Arthur's attention and he resolutely turned toward it, only to find that he had no control over his body. The shadowy apparitions had paralyzed him and he found himself steadily losing consciousness. The dazzling figure increased its pace, resembling a sprinter as it hurtled across the remaining distance between itself and the fearfully still body of Arthur. Two blindingly bright arms reached out and wound themselves around the limp body, pulling him closer to the chest of the heavenly figure. Arthur watched with amazement as the dark, nightmarish creatures dissipated at the presence of this pure, divine being. The brilliant figure stooped carefully to gently press its lips against Arthur's; immediately he found he was regaining control of his body, as the light from the figure entered him, spreading in waves throughout his body and warming his heart. Arthur soon found that he had complete control over his body, yet he remained limp in the mysterious figure's arms, finding pleasure in the kiss, willing it to last longer. The figure pulled back and Arthur opened his eyes finding no darkness surrounding him, no brilliant light blinding him and nothing to impede his senses. The familiar face of the figure grinned at Arthur's wide eyes and whispered "Hello darling" as the dream faded and consciousness took hold.
