I think I mentioned something about writing a story. Well, here it is! Enjoy!

HinataXNeji

Summary: Neji left the Hyuga clan a while ago, maybe around fifteen years, to improve himself like his uncle says. He is now nineteen and is in a distant village in the Land of the Songs (I made that up). To Hinata, he is like a distant star. Will the two ever reunite? Read to find out!

Hinata stared at a bright star, twinkling and winking at her. She shifted her position on the rock. A single solitary sound rang out in the bushes. Although nobody knew, Hinata was born with quick reflexes and she shot a kunai knife to where the sound came. There was a loud, high-pitched squeal, interrupting the comfortable silence that was here just a moment ago. It had shattered and she got up.

"Oh, it's just a fox," she said, disappointed. Hinata wondered if she was hoping it was Neji. The faraway image of him still teased her mind. And her little sister Hanabi had never even met him before he left, a few weeks after his father's death.

"Hey! Hinata!" somebody shouted.

"Ino?"

"No, it's the handsome beast of the Konoha village - Rock Lee!"

Hinata rolled her eyes and went to Lee, who was standing near her accidental prey. "What is it?"

"Nice shot!"

"Thank you."

"It's a pleasure, though I still kind of wish that Sakura had said that!"

"..."

"..."

Hinata sweatdropped. But of course she should know that Lee liked Sakura. She vaguely wondered if she had been yearning for praise, any kind of it.

"Kee-YAH!" Neji yelled as he broke through yet another thick stack of boards with his hand.

"Good, Neji, you may rest now," said a satisfied Mika Satomi, the village's Utakage (Song Host, I think). She was Tsunade's good friend.

Good, thought Neji, and he went to one of his cell mates - Amaya Tsukino.

"Hey, you want to hear me sing?" she asked, with her usual cheerfulness.

"Erm, no thanks. You danced around the dojo singing last time, remember?"

"Yes, but listen - la la la LAAAaaA la LAAlala la la la -"

The whole roof nearly blew off at the screechy sound of Amaya's singing voice. People everywhere, in fact, heard her song. Neji was down on the floor and crying animated.

"Stop it! Shut up!" he yelped at her frantically.

"Bad potato?" she asked curiously. "Or bad wine? That's no surprise. Tenten cooks bad." (Everyone now knows that she rivaled Tenten for her food when Tenten first moved in, first to visit Neji then permanently. Of course, Neji was the only first one to realize that, as geniuses always should.)

"Nonono!" (Amaya scowled. At any rate, Neji continued.) "You know I don't drink wine. I hate wine."

"Then what?"

"Bad singing voice!"

BAM. Crash.

"Ow!"

"That's what you get! Big Goober Liar! Robber! Meanie! Ha-ha!"

"What did you call me?"

"Erm, Meanie?"

"No, before that and before that!"

"B-big Goober Liar?" If she could, Amaya turned a shade paler.

"Payback!"

As two figures zigzagged through the street at night, everybody in Konoha was staring at a mortified, raped Hinata and a drunken Lee.
