A/N: After long consideration I have finally decided to post this. I haven't watched any SGA in a while so I got a lot of distance from the subject, giving me the confidence to do this. I hope you like it. Pease tell me if this is OOC and/or crap.

When a Wraith had as much food at his literal hand as he wanted he didn't need to sleep. After a certain point Wraith just didn't need to sleep anymore. Todd however had not fed in too many days so sleeping was a nightly routine to him now.

He only knew when was night and when was day by the times his guards took their breaks. "Coffee break" in the morning, guard switch at midday and "dinner break" in the evening, none at night, only another guard switch.

He couldn't see the skies from his cell.

He felt a lot like back then in the Genii prison. Kept like a beast, restrained for their safety, brought out only when they wanted something from him. They hadn't given him a metal glove for his feeding hand though, that was better. Then again they had made him wear this ridiculous jumpsuit, that was worse.

He didn't like to admit it but he longed to see familiar faces. The men, and sometimes women, guarding him were all SGC personnel he had never seen before. If only Sheppard would come by, or McKay, he'd even settle for the trigger-happy Satedan but not this useless solitude that served no-one.

It was night when he was woken. That was strange, they usually only came to him during the day.

When he opened his eyes he saw Sheppard standing in the open cell door, a strange weapon at his side that reminded him of a crouching snake. The guards were gone.

Sheppard was smiling.

Todd sat up, eyeing the human warily. "Come on, I wanna show you something", the Colonel said and motioned him to follow. Reluctantly he followed. What would he want to show him? He could think of nothing.

Sheppard led him through deserted corridors, up some stairs and finally to a balcony. They stopped there.

"When we escaped from prison together you said it was all worth it just to see the stars again", Sheppard mused.

Todd remained silent, not knowing what to say or caring enough about the conversation to think of something.

"I may not really like or trust you but… there are things other people did that I do not wish to repeat", he continued, obviously not bothered by the silence of the Wraith.

Suddenly he understood, why this was taking place, why he had led him out here.

"You do not wish to be like Kolya", he wrapped his mouth around the name like he would around a delicious new fruit. Using names was so unusual to him. He had never had a name before he had met these humans and now everyone knew it. Todd, he was not sure whether or not he liked it.

"Who would?", Sheppard asked and it took Todd a moment to remember it was not an answer to his thoughts but to his previous statement.

There was a rather long silence between them. "That over there is Orion", said Sheppard and pointed at the sky. "You named a star constellation", noticed Todd.

"Yeah… every single one of them", the human nodded. "Is there something you haven't named yet?", the Wraith asked, a little bit of frustration in his voice. "Little", John admitted.

"It is no wonder you humans would never have developed space travel on your own, you are too busy naming everything", Todd said. John chuckled. It was something the Wraith liked about humans, they laughed. Without hesitation or consideration to ranks. No matter who it was that said something they considered funny they laughed.

Even if it was their prisoner.
