If you like it...Tell me please! I want to keep writing but I don't want to do that if you don't like it! Just to let you know this is my first fanfic. It's about Christian and Gloria (In the first chapter, you get to see Whatsername and St. Jimmie, Gloria and Christian's child who is fourteen. I'm hoping there will be a sequel titled American Idiot!). But if you know J. B. Lionsgate (if not she's amazing, she's worth the time.), we're working on a Hogwarts fanfic and the first chapter should be out soon.
Well, I'll shut up now. Enjoy!
Love, Callie B.
Chapter One; Song of the Century
(Present Day; Detroit, Michigan)
"And in other news, today is the twenty-first anniversary of the deaths of Christian and Gloria, the rebels who nearly destroyed our way of-"
Nearly destroyed, my ass, Whatsername thought as she clicked off the television. They had saved the movement; becoming martyrs in the process, but still heroes. She hadn't been exactly right in the head since Gloria died.
Hell, I haven't been right since The Class of '13. It screws a person up. Being reminded everyday, that she's dead. Speaking of which, where's the little shit anyway? Whatsername heard the jangle of keys and the bolt click of the apartment door.
"Hey, I'm home." Jimmie shouted.
"Don't give a shit." Whatsername replied. Jimmie crashed into the room, shirt crumpled, sporting a nasty black eye.
"You look like shit."
"You should see the other guy."
"You remind me of your mother. Like mother like daughter."
"Well, maybe you can tell me about her so I can judge how drunk you are."
"I will, bitch."
Whatsername pictured Gloria. She thought about her smile, her laugh, and her ability to throw punches and blow things up with ease.
"It all began with a eulogy." Whatsername said after a few minutes.
"Whose?" Jimmie asked.
"America's."
Sing us a song of the century
That's louder than bombs and eternity
The era of static and contraband
Leading us into the Promised Land
Tell us a story that's by candlelight
Waging a war and losing the fight
They're playing the song of the century
Panic and promise and prosperity
Tell me a story into that good night
Sing us a song for me
