Life after you, a twilight fanfic

I was ten miles from town when I broke down, spittin' out smoke on the side of the road. I was out here all alone, trying to get home to tell my Alice I was wrong. But chances are, she already knows

But believe me I won't stop at nothin to see you, so I've started runnin

But all that I'm after is a life full of laughter, as long as I'm laughing with her. At this point all that I'm thinking that matters, is love ever after. Cause after the life we've both been through, I know there's no life after you.

The last time we talked, was the night that I walked. It burns like an iron in the back of my mind. I swear, I must have been high, to say that you and I weren't meant to be, and I was just wastin my time.

Oh, why did I ever doubt her. She knows I would die here without her.

You and I, whether I'm right or wrong, there's no other one, after all this time I spent alone. It's hard to believe that a man with sight could be so blind. Thinkin back on the better times, I realize that I must've been outta my mind. So I'm running back to tell you

But all that I'm after is a life full of laughter. And without you, God knows what I'd do.

I ran up Alice's driveway, and knocked on her door. When she opened it her eyes widened.

"Jasper?"

Then her eyes darkened. "What do you want?" She growled.

I looked at her. "Alice. I want you back."

She scoffed. "After you told me we weren't working out and said you were wasting your time, you think I'll take you back?"

I looked at her. "Alice, I was driving here to tell you this. My car broke down ten miles from here, I ran. The memory of the night I left still burns in the back of my mind. I must've been out of my mind."

Alice looked past me, and her eyes widened when she saw I really did drive here.

"Alice," I pleaded. "Will you forgive me?"

She looked at me, then she kissed me as softly and gently as possible.

When we broke apart, I blinked. "Is that a yes?"

She smiled. "Jasper, you ran ten miles to see me. What else am I supposed to say?"

I smiled and kissed her gently. My arms wrapped around her waist. She broke apart for a moment. "Maybe we should take this inside."

I grinned as I followed her inside.
