When you were born into this world
Your mom and dad saw a dream fulfilled
Dream come true, the answer to their prayers

You were to them a special child
Gave 'em joy every time you smiled

Philippines let out a shriek of joy, a wide grin on his face. He clapped as Spain continued to make the silly faces in front of the infant.

Each time you cried, they're at your side to care

The small boy cried out, shiny tears falling from his black eyes. Spain trudged out of bed, walking over to Philippines's room. Soon after, Romano followed a grumpy look on his face. Philippines was picked up, rocking him slowly back to sleep.

How many seasons came and went
So many years have now been spent
For time ran fast and now at last you're strong'

The taller boy sighed, walking out of his room. He didn't see why he couldn't go out with America that night. He thought that he was a decent guy, and he was always calling himself the hero! How awesome was that? Spain frowned as he saw the younger country getting his coat and leaving.

Now what has gotten over you
You seem to hate your parents too
Do speak out your mind, why do you find them wrong

"Where are you going?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Nowhere," he lied.

"Don't lie, Philippines."

"Nowhere!" he exclaimed, fed up with how nosy he was being.

"Don't yell at me like that." Spain said in a warning tone.

"It's not my fault! You never let me do anything! I'm tired of it!"

"Phili-!"

"I-I hate you!"

And now your path has gone astray
Child you ain't sure what to do or say
You're so alone, no friends are on your side

Philippines sat in his house, the still quiet of the night making him uneasy. He put his feet up in the chair. Not to long after he found himself wrapping his arms around his legs and putting his forehead his knees. Quiet…and so very alone.

And child you now break down in tears
Let them drive away your fears
Where must you go, their arms stay open wide

Tears soon began to leak from the corner of his eyes. Despite how hard he bit down on his lower lip, the fluid kept rolling down his cheeks. He wiped them away quickly with the back of his hands. He didn't want to stay here. He felt himself get up and walk out the door. After that everything was blurry (not that it wasn't already).

Philippines knocked on the door to the large house, looking down awkwardly at his shoes. As the door opened, he looked up to see the somewhat surprised Spanish man. He couldn't bring himself to look into the parental figure's eyes. Arms wrapped around him and he didn't hug back. He buried his face in the other man's chest and let the tears flow. His legs felt like spaghetti; he could barely keep himself up. Luckily, Spain was still strong enough to keep Philippines up.

And, like that, Philippines felt home again.
