AN: This all started with a conversation I had with my Mom after watching the latest episode "Goodbye to all that" I hope you enjoy!
Someone once said you should always start at the beginning, but in my case this is difficult. You see the whole story started a long time before I came onto the scene. 'Cause the ending of my story is really the beginning, while the beginning is actually somewhere in the middle, and whether the middle will be the ending still remains to be seen.
Explaining my story to someone who hasn't lived it is a little like guiding someone through a maze from memory. While you're explaining the complicated turns and endless dead ends it's incredibly easy to get lost yourself, and start wondering if you ever really knew what the heck you were talking about.
Also like a maze, it's sometimes easier to start at the ending and work your way backwards.
My name is John Connor and I am the leader of the human's that remain alive to fight against the machines that have turned against us. I met two brothers named Derek and Kyle Reese and trained them to be my right hand soldiers. I can't give you any more details than that because…none of this has happened yet. (Headaches, a common side effect of time travel.)
In that not distant enough future, I sent back Kyle Reese to before I was born where he fell in love with my mother and became my father. Then I sent back Derek to protect and guide my teenage self. Confused yet? I haven't even mentioned the fact that my father is years younger than me and died before I was born.
One of these days I will meet Kyle and become like a father and mentor to him. I will teach him and Derek all the things Derek taught me in the past.
It's not an easy life or even a logical one, and I didn't even start on Cameron. Well, another story for another day.
