The Five Times Percy Never Asked For Silence

One: Percy looked at his brothers' faces, hard and stony, all except George certain in the matter. Next to him his sister drew fast breaths, eyes as hard as any of his brothers. Turning he saw his mother and father, the later unsure, his mother crying.

Percy couldn't hear the jeers and comments they threw at him, nor could he hear the lone pleas for him to stay.

He had to leave.

Two: Never had the silence been so deafening. He watched as the rocks fell, not hearing the crash they made.

Why he never heard the thud as Fred's body fell, Percy was never sure, but why he never heard the laughter he was certain.

Why he never heard Fred's last laugh, why, because he didn't disserve to.

Three: The first time he had uttered 'I love you' to her he could hear his heart pounding and when she responded he could only hear her voice.

It was when he asked 'Will you marry me' he couldn't hear, he couldn't even hear the music playing.

He was never even sure if she said yes.

Four: He has stayed there all night, sitting on that old chair holding her hand. Not once did he move, not once did he fall asleep.

He was always at her side, he never made the same mistake twice.

They told him he had a daughter, he couldn't hear the wails after that.

It was later he was told her name.

Five: It was after his last breath when the silence was heaviest.

No one was sure what to say, even the musicians seemed to forget how to play. The tears still fell, only some how separate from the crying.

This time the silence wasn't meant to be broken.
