To My Past Followers: If you didn't follow me in the past ignore this humongous apology because I've been a complete assbutt with abandoning writing for the lesser part of six months and continue with the rest ;)
Darlings, I'm back!
And with a new fandom (Supernatural! Like, I cannot remember not being in love with it now what the hell?!) and a promise to add almost all of my other ones into my repertoire.
I apologize for the complete and utter abandonment of this account last year in October, but as some of you may know, there was an accident that left me rather depressed and down for a while and completely not in the mood for writing fanfiction. And I've decided that during this next year, since I'm also going through a humongous move back to the States from Canada, along with the hell that is defined 'high school' that I will only be working on a few drabbles/oneshots as they come to me, and a new multi chap (As Safe As Houses, a Destiel AU fic) that I want to completely finish before I post, because I usually give up on multi chaps and that is not something I want to do with ASAH.
Also, I have cut myself off from making and joining competitions and challenges just because I feel like the product of them was pretty damn shitty. Reading over some of the oneshots I've posted on here is like reading stuff I wrote in grade four! I am so sorry I exposed you wonderful darlings to that, and hope you enjoy the story below!
Searching for Love
Summary:Neville had learnt to look for love in the things around him.
Warnings:
General: mention of Nuna (because they are adorable) and a bit of imagination that may hit some of you as AU, I don't know, it's been a while ;)
Rating: K
Pairing(s): Nuna (just mentioned)
Length: Drabble (170)
Disclaimer: All characters belong to the wonderful J.K. Rowling. We've already realized that I can't write multi chaps, do you think I can write seven 500 page books? I don't think so, darling.
Neville Longbottom was rarely shown love.
He knew that that he was loved, of course, but it was only on holidays and sometimes when his Uncle Archie was drunk that he actually heard the words.
So, as a result, he had learnt to look for it in the things around him; the things that you and I would never really consider.
He could see it in his Gram's gruff way of nitpicking, the way she flattened his hair and straightened his perpetually crooked collar.
He saw love in Luna's small smile, and the way it seemed to warm him to the tips of his toes like firewhiskey.
Sometimes, he even saw it in the way his plants grew, the way they responded to his gentle touch; stretching towards the sun.
And somewhere along the way without realizing with it, he had started to glimpse the way a bubblegum wrapper, set so gently into his hand with those cold hands could convey the utmost love that a mother had for a son.
A/N – I know it's short, but at least it's something. God it's been such a long time since I wrote! It feels amazing :D
Anyways, tell me if you liked wouldn't you? And let me know if there's anything I could write for you, a pairing or fandom, or anything!
Have a supercalifragilistical day!
