Synopsis: Word prompt, Captive.

Daniel Jackson was, at the moment, the picture of a happy archeologist. Buried deep in his office, mounds of dusty artifacts and leather bound tomes piled in all directions. Daniel hummed happily. Bent over and squinting at the faded pages, it seemed as if nothing could disturb his perfect solitude.

"What cha doin', Spacemonkey?" Having been shooed out by his favorite scientist, Jack O'Neill had decided it was time to check up on his favorite archeologist.

Humming stopped, eyes went wide and hands swiftly reached out to save a priceless artifact. "Jack."

Grinning foolishly and rocking back on his heals, Jack felt better already. "Daniel."

Now scowling, the once happy archeologist opens his mouth to follow in his predecessor's footsteps and send the General on his way when the one thing sure to descend aggravation into full blown frustration breezed through the door and draped herself woefully across Daniel's worktable.

Both men stared baffled at the woman before them.

"Vala?"

"Yes, darling?"

"What the…what are you wearing?"

"Well I thought this outfit best suited my station."

"Your station?"

"Yes."

"What station?"

"As your captive."

"Captive?"

"Daniel, you dog!"

"Jack." Daniel threw a frustrated scowl over his shoulder before turning back to his more pressing dilemma. "Vala, what gave you the idea that you are my captive?"

"I read it."

"Read what?"

"The definition of the word captive. It said 'enraptured or enslaved by love'. That's me."

As if dusting herself off, Vala brushed her hands over the tattered white cotton that was obviously a self altered 'dress'.

"Well, I didn't realize you were already busy. I'll just come back later." And with that she breezed back out of the cluttered office.

Jack slapped his befuddled friend on the back as he also walked out of the room, hands stuffed deep in his pockets and whistling a cocky tune. "See ya later Spacemonkey."

Daniel could only stand staring at his now empty doorway, wondering who exactly had captivated whom.
