In conjunction with my recent love for Eyeshield 21, and HiruSena; here's a poem. Inspired by pokemonjunkie's "This Armistice", a lovely but terribly malnourished collection of HiruSena shorts. Do go read and review, minna. FEED THE STARVING BUNNY~~~

Title: Benison
Pairing: HirumaxSena
Rating: PG
Genre: Romance. The stanzas alternate in being directed at Hiruma or Sena; and the first one is for Sena.

benison (n.)- benediction or blessing; especially a spoken one.

May you always have the courage
To stand by his unpeopled side
To shine all the brighter in your loveliness
Within his inborn night.

May you to old age's encasement,
Carry this memory of light.
May you seize its willing hand in comfort
Whilst you exit stage right.

May immortalised youth evade you
For the world in all its splendor
And he has looked upon the marvel of you;
Your soulful might
And wondered.

May your laughter never be gentle
That it stays steadfastly true
The same way, as from under the dust of 2 years,
When he first brought it back to you.

May you eternally know
And see with eyes of grace
How he dreams as his reflect you
His alone of every gaze.

May you always have a place
On this earth and in yourself
So there can be a time when the love you give him
Comes back for you as well.

A/N: Modeled after Robert Hull's "For the Child Who Became (Christopher)". The last stanza stems from my opinion that love teaches one self-acceptance; and to be at peace with the world. Because...somehow, Hiruma doesn't strike me as someone who likes himself; despite the strong self-confidence and all...

I tried to make it exclusively HiruSena, but I obviously failed orz...==

So are there any lines you think I should change in this poem? Feedback please! :D

P.S. By the way, how does one really use the shift+enter command? It doesn't seem to work! ):
