Sisters

This is Father's will.

In his grief for the loss of Alice, Father created us. He asked us to become the perfect dolls to replace his beloved daughter.

By refusing to fight, we have been acting against our creator's wishes. We should repair that mistake immediately.

The only way to free him from his sadness is for one of us to become Alice.

Then, Suiseiseki, why must you keep blocking my way? You continuously attempt to weaken my resolve with your compassionate speeches, and your words hurt me beyond comprehension. Don't you understand? I'm doing this for Father!

"I don't care about your feelings or what Shinku says! Souseiseki, this is an order from your elder twin sister: Don't you dare leave me! I will not allow ourselves to be separated!"

What right do you have to be so selfish, Suiseiseki? This is my– no, this is our destiny as the Rosen Maiden, as the only qualified candidates for the 'Alice Game'! We have failed to become a suitable Alice at our first trial, and Father has offered us another chance. It is our duty to do anything we can to succeed, even if that means we have to slay our sisters.

"Who do you love more, Souseiseki, your father or your twin sister? A father who has abandoned you, rejected you, and ordered you to cold-heartedly murder your siblings to compensate for the loss of the only being he considered to be his 'true' daughter; a father who created this maleficent 'Alice Game' and commanded sisters to kill each other in his name; a father who made us twins and sits by idly while we battle blindly, knowing that, someday, we could be obligated to face each other? Would you sacrifice your twin sister, who has been by your side ever since we were created, who has supported you throughout this entire ordeal to meet such a man?"

Why would you say that, Suiseiseki? Do you not want to meet Father? He created us. What did our sisters ever give us?

I know what you would say. They gave us love. They gave us a few moments of happiness in our despicable existence. They gave us time to breathe and rest between two exhausting fights. But all of these would have been useless, not to mention impossible, if Father had never given us the greatest gift of all: life. It is selfish to place our personal comfort before the will of our Father, the man who made this possible in the first place.

"Souseiseki, twins should never split apart. Would you be willing to destroy our hard-forged bond for the sake of a man you barely even remember?"

I know this sounds cruel, Suiseiseki, but I hope one of our sisters kills you. Otherwise, if we are both still alive at the end of the 'Alice Game', I would have to fight you. You may be irritating, but you're right, I wouldn't be able to severe the bond we forged over the years. The only other option would be for me to die, and I would rather do so than to battle you. If it does come to that, though, I will not hold back.

Besides, this is not our last farewell. If we both lose this game, we will eventually meet again in the victor's N-field. If you win, I will be transported to yours and vice versa if I triumph. So dry your tears, Onee-chan. We will meet again.
