I'm sorry – I had to do it! Please, if you enjoy it – review, and if you don't then tell me – how else can I learn?

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Sherlock characters. Thanks to all the actors, writers, etc that make the original series so worth writing about!

"No, Sherlock!"

"But John….."

"You're wrong. It doesn't work like that!"

"Of course it works like that! How could it not? It's obvious, John."

John sat back in his chair and raised an eyebrow, a slight smile on his lips as he looked at Sherlock's petulant expression.

Obvious? Not to me it isn't!"

Sherlock rolled his eyes. It was the curse of the placid and barely used brain, of that he was sure.

"John, I know I have told you this before…."

"I know, I know. I see but I do not observe! Yes, Sherlock, you have probably told me that a thousand times, but I believe you are mistaken about this particular piece of evidence." John shook his head, quite baffled by his flatmate's intransigence.

"John," Sherlock huffed out a breath that blew the curls from his forehead in a way that John found quite endearing. "Even Lestrade would agree with me on this."

"Yeah, but since when do you acknowledge that Greg could solve anything more difficult than how to find his car in the car park!"

"I've always said he's the best Scotland Yard has!

John almost choked on his tea.

"No, you called the others complete idiots!"

"Okay then, who do you think killed him?"

"Sherlock - it was Miss Scarlett, with the rope, in the ballroom!"

A/N: Yeah, like I said….I had to do it….shall I fetch the knife now, Sherlock?
