socks

wore out shoes.

long day of

da banner.
Buyin'
two for a penny.
Sellin'
for a penny a pape.
Barely
makin' end's meet.
Barely
gettin' through.
Cold,
snowy weather.
Hot,
humid weather.
A newsie works it all.
Later
home from da races
and
late ta bed.
But
dat's da newsie life
and
dare as free as fishes.
