Heh, first kakaIru fic. Be nice and review. So, this is AU as in it takes place in another world. It is also shonen ai. Problem? Leave.
IMPORTANT: time is different in this world. Instead of vamps' and 'wolves aging the same way human do, they live a hundred times longer (don't ask why it's for plot reasons)
Example: instead of being 16 a vamp or 'wolf will be 1600

Vampire: a being who needs to drink blood at least once a week to live (depending on the amount). They can walk during the day, contrary to legend, and they do not fear the sun, crosses or garlic. They can jump amazing heights as well as walk long distances without tiring. They are difficult to kill but they are not impervious to fatal wounds, usually a long fall down or a sword to the heart will kill them.
Werewolf: a being who can change from human to wolf (sometimes they keep attributes of one form while in another). They can change whenever they want once they reach a certain age depending on the type. They cannot be killed by a silver bullet unless the shot was to a vital organ and they too are not impervious but are hard to kill. They can also jump heights impossible to humans and can go very long distances without tiring.
Shifter: a being who can morph into anyone or thing at will regardless of gender or species. They are born into the world with one look but often change it as they age. They are often abnormally beautiful with desirable features. They are not as impervious as a vampire or werewolf but they too can jump high heights. A shifter's blood is slightly sour and tangy this is how you can tell the difference between a shifter and a werewolf. A werewolf's blood is sweeter with a less bitter taste.
Prologue:
On December 20th, in the year 5773, the Great War between werewolves and vampires began. Tension had been growing between both sides before but the last straw came with the bombing of a school in the country side. The school erupted in flames and burned to the ground.
Most of the school's population consisted of Werechildren and only a handful survived. The Werepeople were outraged and they grew even angrier when the vampires claimed to have not participated.
Investigations were held and witnesses confirmed that one of the carrier planes in the Royal Vampire Family's airplane hangar. The Royal Family confirmed that it was one of their planes and that a shipment of explosives had been made but they claimed that it had been an accident. The Werepeople were demanded the vampires pay for their mistake but the vampires claimed the owed them nothing for the little tragedy.
The Werepeople planned attacks on the vampires and the vampires retaliated. Both sides grew angrier until the whole country was in chaos. The shifters and humans were caught in the middle trying to instill peace between the two groups but nothing could be done. It was war.
Cities and towns were destroyed and the death toll was high but eventually the vampires won and the Werepeople retreated into the mountains. The ones who stayed were enslaved or slaughtered by the vampires.
Ever since the Great War, Werepeople have been scarce outside the houses of rich nobles and slavery markets.
Vampires had been unofficially crowned the superior race and the Werepeople as the lesser.
But in between the folds of society, retaliations are being planned by the Werepeople to defeat the vampires and maybe come to a compromise with them.
