The Sea and the Sky
"You are the chosen... fate is waiting..." The deep musical voice rang clearly through the atmosphere. It sounded haunting yet beautiful.
"Who are you?! What do you want?!" Her voice sounded more frightened than demanding.
"I am everything you see..."
The ground started to shake violently throwing Haruka to the ground.
"W-what!"
She looked wildly about as the buildings crumbled to the ground. People were everywhere shrieking for help, mothers looked about franticly for shelter for their children. She had learned about war in history, but she had never imagined it to be... A hot surge of anger grew inside.
"I demand you to stop! Stop this! Can you hear the people's cry?! WHY!"
"It is not I... I am merely the voice of the universe... Everything is falling... Falling..."
"But is this our fate?! Is there no way ..." Her temper soared, but she pressed on.
"Break the chain of fate. It is your duty..."
"What am I to do? I have nothing..."
"Oh, yes you do." It was a woman's voice. Her voice was like a light as hope.
Startled, Haruka looked up. And there she was, floating above the ground. Her hair, dancing like she was in water. But her face she could not make out. Haruka had the weirdest urge to reach and touch her face.
"I am... Neptune. And you are-"
"This is no time for introductions! Look! Can't you see?! The earth!"
The woman reached out a hand, but she quickly slapped it away. What were these people? And what was she to them?
"I don't know who you are but... I don't want you near me..." She replied in a hardly audible voice.
