A/N:

I started FMA (NOT BROTHERHOOD) a few weeks ago and I fell in love with Edwin and Royai. Like, immediately. So here's a little Royai one shot.

Riza Hawkeye signed Roy Mustang's name at the bottom of the five page report she had just read, tapped the papers on the desk to line them up and glanced at the Colonel.

He was snoring gently, a slim line of drool trickling onto the desk. His black hair was mussed and a piece of paper was stuck to his cheek.

"Colonel," Riza said. She was answered with a murmur. "Colonel," she repeated. Riza sighed, pulled out her gun, aimed at the ceiling, and shot. The loud bang echoed of the walls and Roy shot up. The piece of paper fell off his cheek, but the ink marks were still there.

Riza rolled her eyes. "I need to run an errand, and when I'm back you better be finished reading these reports."

Roy glanced at the towering stack of papers at the side of him. "B-but there's thousands here!"

The lieutenant grinned. "Than you had better start reading." She walked out and the door clicked shut behind her.

Riza took off her coat and pulled out her gun again, ready to shoot at the ceiling when – "Riza."

Riza started and turned to the Colonel; he had always called her Lieutenant before. She saw that he was still sleeping.

"Riza," Roy said again. "Riza... I love you…"

The lieutenant's eyes widened as she heard the last statement. Recovering from the initial shock she bent down and softly kissed Roy's forehead. "I love you too." She was answered with a dreamy smile.

She smiled and turned, walking over to the desk, and as her back was turned the Colonel's left eye peeked open. Now, if he could just tell her that when he was awake…
