Sophie was smiling at the mural on her wall when her door opens and her brother Jamie walks in, she looks at her brother and gets handed a note. After reading it she bursts into tears, if anyone had come in a read the note they would have saw

DEAD IN ACTION

On the top of the note, Jamie hugged his sister close and the two Bennetts cried for the death of their father. Pippa walked upstairs and saw her boyfriend and Sophie crying, she looked at them sadly and walked downstairs and called their mother.

"Mrs Bennett? Yes you got the note too? He's dead!? I'm very sorry for your lose I'll drive Sophie up to the ward to come see you. Bye Mrs Bennett" Pippa put the phone back and heard a very girl snuffle and she picked Sophie up and hugged her close. She let Sophie yell and scream and cry and Sophie fell asleep and Jamie came and the two adults put her in the car and drove the long drive to the Health ward. Sophie woke up when they were parking and Sophie took Jamie's hand and every nurse they saw working at the ward was remembering that first time the Bennetts came there. Sophie had been Five, Jamie had been Ten; Sophie walked to her mum's room while Jamie went to get food for his mother.

Madeline was so happy to see her daughter but when she saw Sophie's face her heart broke, Sophie run into her mother's arms with a loud cry of "Mummy!". The two girls cried and Jamie came in and hugged two of the four most important people in his life. Sophie was asked all about her school life and she fell asleep with Pippa on the window seat. Jamie and his mum talked about the funeral and they both decided to let him, Sophie and Pippa plan everything. Madeline told her son about how she wasn't getting better and he looked at her knowing he would have to tell Sophie about their mum too.

Jamie softly waked Pippa up and he picked up Sophie, Pippa said goodbye to Madeline and promised Mrs Bennett that she would look after Madeline's children, and then she followed Jamie out. Pippa and the two Bennett's walked to the car and Pippa drove them home. They put Sophie to bed and went to bed themselves.
